Clarified the question. Unfortunately (no kidding) at the moment, the 2st quarter of 2020 is coming to an end. No new promos from VeriSign for now. Most likely, at the beginning of Q3, we will get new quotas for cheap domain transfer.

I doubt that works Samer. lol At thee end of the day Epik still has a bottomline. Can't really blame them for that.

I guess we'll just have to sit and wait and I'm ok with that. anyone who isn't ok with it just a victim of their own poor planning. I'm guilty of this myself (poor planning) yet I'm ok that Epik hasn't come out with another promo.

I have domains right now expiring and I have no one else to blame but myself.

Luckily I do have options but I'd rather go with Epik.

I do like Epik's interface and the speed at which they reply back. They are very accessible.

and their support is actually "live" 24/7 when I need help in the middle of the night or morning. not 50-50 live.

So I guess I'll wait for a pm.

Maybe it is not a appropriate place for this question (since we are discussing here a promo deals), but it is closely related to Epik promo deals and transfers. I've noticed that domains I transferred to Epik were locked for 60 days even for internal push (Epik to Epik account).... not every domain I transferred, but some of them. Why is this happening? Thanks.

@bojan1 Epik introduced this change a while ago but they didn't bother informing their customers about it. If you want to push domains internally before the 60 day period expires, you will need to provide Epik with your ID.

I did so once, about month or two ago... and it was a complicated push I must say... so I don't see logic in these changes!?

What kind of ID? Here in the UK we do not have 'ID' nor is it a legal requirement.

I have just emailed Epik support for clarification on this, it will be a game changer as far as I am concerned. If I register a domain name and sell it within minutes or whenever I expect to be able to transfer it internally immediately.

It can also be a driving licence.

I complained about this a month or two ago. They changed it to gray locked domains on recent transfers and didn’t tell us at all.

So yes you are unable to push a domain without their ID verification which is a crock and overstepping bigtime.(on non Epik involved sales its not their business who or why you push ). Nobody doesn’t allow internal pushes to be performed by the owner easily during the 60 days except them who has created this new demand for ID.

I don’t know. They will claim security but its overstepping. If it was about security they could require 2 factor for pushes before 60 days. They just want every customers ID apparently.

Also recently you can’t change your Epik email to your account without contacting support. Previously you could do it on your own.

I received a good amount of request for .IO

They have asked from me ID last time I wanted to push domain that was within internal lock period. Maybe they have changed something now.

Perhaps they have, but hopefully they will be along posting about this very soon just to clarify everything. In the meantime I can only post what they have told me.

They do require ID to disable those gray locks that don’t allow you to push before the 60 days. If you can do it you should be able to at anytime.
