We're working with multiple registries, all at the same time. We'll hand you those promos as soon as we finish all the required back-end work. Our pipe-line is full of these deals. We just need some time to process.
Please keep an eye on this thread, and other threads posted by me and other Epik team members.
If you have any questions, just let me know. We're here for you!
Some work is required on this one to get it done (again!).
I'm on it.
Keep an eye on this thread!
Thanks for the .com happy hour promotion @Sufyan Alani @Rob Monster - I used if for a couple transfers and a couple new reg I had been considering. It applying to transfers is a particularly competitive deal! Thank you Now all I need is a few moments to use the powerful landers on your marketplace.
I am glad the pH idea was helpful, and glad you got some great names. Really like especially TestYour.pH I am hopeful on my ph and glad others trying the extension with same meaning.
Thanks. I wish i had more to get. Only transferred 3 and registered 1.
Have this again in a month and I'll have several more to transfer over.
waiting for .org transfer deals
How many .ORG domains are you looking to transfer in?
At least 50 over 2-3 months
Well, folks, that Happy Hour is over and some folks backed up the truck.
For those of you who have $ tied up in the stock market, perhaps you took the opportunity to sell of some shares.
The canary in the coalmine is Deutsche Bank (NYSE:DB). If that stock keeps pooping the bed like it did today, look out below.
Equity traders are freaking out about the inverting of the yield curve -- a classic recession indicator. You guys might remember 2008. Yes, it sucked for most.
Today was a good time to take some equity profits. For your domain portfolio, I would cut your expenses, take out the trash, and work on selling/leasing some .COM domains.
We did just sell Tech.Support for a very attractive price to someone here on NP. I am very happy for him, since I think it is the best domain of the entire .SUPPORT TLD.
I continue to like .CO domains for cheap arbitrage in year 1 -- many folks are continuing to get great ROI on the $0.99 registrations from earlier this month.
And if DB drops below $6, I suggest going to your bank and getting some cash.
Ha I backed up my Prius - does that count?
In spite of my card being declined because the bank flagged all my snagging as suspect I was able to get 7 names I've had in my consider reg list.
I even snagged a name I let drop that someone else snagged and then let drop. It's actually a good name and I already have lots of content made for it. Btw, that name was from an old business I let go now that I'm on to something else.
Some folks here liked the economic post earlier. You might also take note of this other HISTORIC development:
The 30 Year US Treasury Bond now yields less than 2% for the first time EVER. The entire US Yield curve is now under 2%.
I have a tip for you guys. Buy a lot of domains related to gold, silver and precious metals. I think that market is about to bust loose.
You don't have to be an economist to see what is happening.
How come gold domains are in demand when gold is at a new high ?
They aren't yet. However, when the US Dollar and Euro poop the bed, they would be.
Like I said earlier, watch Deutsche Bank. Their $43 trillion in notional derivatives is a Weapon of Financial Destruction. Good recap here:
I don't undertstand why should gold related domains sell more
when the gold price is a little up?
if you are right then in 2012 there must have been more gold-related domain sales
I can't verify that
but for now
gold related domains are selling xxx USD range
all higher sales are not gold-related like asphaltgold/.///com
When the price of BTC went past $10,000 the first time, what happened to crypto domains?
When the price of Gold goes past $2500 what do you think happens to precious metal domains?
The money-printing is about to REALLY get going. However, based only on the current monetary base, the price of gold would have to go up 10X to match the last peak.
In case you are not aware, the price of precious metals has been artificially suppressed for decades. They have been terrible investments because the prices were artificially depressed, thereby preventing price discovery.
The conventional investment play is to either own the metal or to own shares in mining companies. However, since we're domainers, we can think about the domain supply before the domain demand shows up.
As a low risk strategy, a domain speculator could buy some underpriced domains in this category and put Epik's SEO-friendly SSL landers up on those pages, and wait for the retail buyers to show up.
you are comparing a 10 fold increase in 2years
to a 2 fold increase in 10 years
maybe you should buy beverage-related domains?
the main point is:
buy domains with epik
I've been telling friends of mine with financial holdings to prepare (I don't have too many holdings to worry about ),
We are in the beginning 'inversion' and as far as can find, every time that has happened before, a recession follows in roughly a year or so. The severity/degree is unknown at this point and it could be minimal, but indicators will show themselves over the upcoming months.
I have titaniumglass.com 🤗
Who has the best beverage related domain on the market?
Re Coca-Cola: Perhaps it is not beverage companies but companies that have a hyphen in their domain name consistently do well financially. Others will see that, and we should all stock up in hyphen domain names?
Seriously though, there is no doubt that we are in troubling economic times. Stocks have had great run, but lots of troubling signs including the yield inversion, little room for central bank measures, trade wars and more. The yield inversion and very low interest rates mean that it is tough to earn much in guaranteed instruments or bond based index funds, particularly worrying for retirees who depend on investment income in retirement as these have traditionally played a big role. It seems amazing that 13 trillion dollars are already invested globally at zero or negative interest rates.
Im thinking that wghen the economy crashes, gold & crypto will have a large surge. IMO, of course. Gold prices always go up... the newer place top invest is crypto and I think more people will invest compared to the last crash. It's much easier to invest in crypto now compared to several years ago.
Im meeting with my financial advisor next week... should be interesting to see what he says.
We helped someone buy this domain recently:
He is a smart fellow doing something novel in the crypto space. He might introduce himself as he has become an active domain investor.
Check out Daily Diamonds today:
Many aged domains are dropping today. -This is because a long time domainer ran out of money. He did not ask for help to save the domains that he is dropping. I think his wife gave him an ultimatum.
Full disclosure: I actually just kept one for our O&O portfolio: Lekhi.com, a common name in India. If someone wants to sell that domain for 50/50 rev-share just PM me.
Separate names with a comma.
