Has something changed? I looked at some of my domains that I purchased at enom.tv for 24.95 usd and notice the renewal is now 49.95 usd and if you wish to transfer a charge of 49.95 usd!!!!!

See: http://www.enom.tv/pricing.asp#domain

Go through the steps to add a year on one of your nonpremium regs at enom.tv and notice the renewal price.

This is insane and just plain stupid. What a mousetrap! I cannot even vision Me.tv being successful for the user type they are after at these prices for nonpremium .tv domains.

SSSSSSSSSSSUuuummmmmertime and the living is easy.....or so thinks Enom.TV........And so now, anything that was yesterday 24.99 a YEAR has doubled - just like that - why not..... and hey wanna transfer the name to someone else and keep the secondry market bouyant....nah....we dont think so....49.99 please thankyou very much..........

I think it is clear that domainers are not the target market of DM...neither should they be - on the other hand to be so obviously targeted in this way is obscene...

Think about the auction for August....well well, a $50 tax per name has just been added - DM wants a piece of the action......

Quinn,

This is rather sad.......hopefully you will clarify the reasoning behind this move aswell as you telling me that Verisign was coming out with a joint DM/Verisgn pricing clarification statement.......when will this statement take place?? It needs to happen real quickly now.......because you have just doubled the pricing for the non premiums.....god knows what the market will think of the premium pricing now......

Yes Quinn, please do clarify how Enom's extortion process works. This is no nominal increase in renewal. Maybe the increase in renewal will help pay for the upcoming revenue share at me.tv sites.

that is bizarre. I just ran some tests at enom.tv

1/ i just tested a new nonpremium reg and it was showing at $19.99.

(I did not go through with the transaction).

2/ I just tried renewing the 1 non premium I have at enom.tv and it showed the price as $8.95 but the transaction ultimately failed.

too funny. maybe they are updating their systems

Antonis, that is really strange. I am still seeing:

.tv $24.95 $49.95 $49.95

I cleared my cache just to be sure.

I would not worry about this issue for 24 hours.

We know that Enom gets their technical wires crossed sometimes (e.g. the online.tv drop at $10/name, unwarned me.tv downtime) so who knows what is going on right now.

I would honestly be very surprised if they simply doubled the registration prices with no warning, particularly given the slow uptake of me.tv. It would be hard to rationalize why that would make sense for them or anyone else.

Pricing on eNom.tv is NOT static - it changes based upon the specific account you are logged in with.

That's why people are seeing different prices.

I bought ginge.tv the other day through enom, enticed by the me.tv package. I would say that the site resolves less than 50% of the time when I try to view it, and a similar amount when I try to login to edit it. I've learnt my lesson.

Its all over the place!! If you look at the link SKG posted, they have .com/net/org/us/info all at $29.95 reg fee!!!!!!!

Its a total glitch at enoms end - I tested a .com ($29.95) and .tv ($24.95) for reg and .tv for renew ($49.95) without clicking the final payment.

yes, same thing for me, when i look at the renewal page when i log onto my enom account to see my .tv domains, it is showing as a $49.95 for renewal.

this is getting a bit silly really in terms of all the various teething problems they seem to be having.

Enom.TV is $24.95 since the beginning of the promo, don't deceive yourself that you will get $19.95 pricing for .TV.

Just sigh.

How can they expect anyone to buy or have any confidence in TV when they can't even get something so simple worked out one way or another?

Quite frankly, I am getting very concerned about the viability of tv in general with these clowns running it.

Prices at eNom, like many other registrars are NOT STATIC.

Some resellers buy domains for $6.95, others at $8.95 and others still at $29.95.

The same goes for .TV domains. SO, if you login at www.enom.tv with an eNom account, or in fact, any account NOT CREATED at eNom.tv, your pricing may be different from what is displayed on eNom.tv when you are NOT logged in.

It all comes down to the fact that pricing is keyed to your ACCOUNT, not the WEBSITE you login to.

If your pricing is higher than $24.95, create a NEW account at eNom.tv and you too will have $24.95 pricing.

The question is not regarding the $24.95 which we know enom.tv has, it is the fact that they changed the renewal from $24.95 to $49.95. You can still register .tv nonpremiums at enom.tv for $24.95. Everyone knows that pricing is not STATIC, however from my recollection the renewal was $24.95 as well and this doubling of renewal is way out of line, imo. I really hope that this is an error on their part and if it is well then it is just another of numerous ones they continue to make. If found that this is an error, I would think that DM should be all over Enom.tv for this blunder because it works against their marketing efforts.

Hi Everyone,

I just spoke with the team at enom and the URL that Sanchay posted has the WRONG PRICING listed. This is our fault for not updating these numbers on May 1st. This is not a reflection of the ecommerce system, which has everything - registration, renewal and transfers - all set at $24.95. They will have this page and its pricing updated today in order to prevent any future confusion.

Just to be clear, Demand Media/eNom has NOT changed the pricing, and I apologize for any misunderstanding.
