I have a few 'standard renewal' nu-premium names at ENOM that I took during the goldrush period. I have renewed them before and they were about $30

Feeling the need to check the renewal price well in advance I have just gone through the renewal process and where I expected to see a price of about $30 it now has...

$99.99

I then checked the main price list and this has an altogether different price and says the renewal of a .tv should be $49.99

Naturally, I have put in a ticket but has anyone come across this crazy mess before?

What is the proper price?

Plus. Has anyone successfully moved a nu-premium name from enom to another registrar like name.com or dynadot

Definitely a pricing glitch. I checked out 1 name and it says $59.90. Prices seem to be all over the place. You should be able to transfer the goldrush name out to another registrar without any difficulty.

Figured it out. Here is how you get the $29.95 renewal price. Go to the following page:

http://www.enomcentral.com/domainsearch/default.aspx

Click the small 'Renew' button under the search box.
Enter your .tv domain name and put the amount of years.
Hit Add to Cart.
Go to your Cart and it should be $29.95.

Thanks for the info.

Looks like ENOM have a bIG technical problem to sort out.

Out of interest I also tried to $29.95 trick and ended up with a $49.99 price and followed by an extra attempt which offered a $99.99 price (that looked funny as one was above the other to leave a total of $149.98 !

If Enom were an island it would be in the East China Sea!

If they keep on like this even GoDaddy could lose its title!

So glad that name and dynadot are around.

There is a reason I don't have much of any inventory at Enom. Things will continue to get difficult with less transparency. Glad it worked.

Not that I know of. Registrars (name/hexonet) told me directly they can't do it. You can move from enom to enomcentral (shared registrar) which gives you better pricing. I have one premium and I think it was $30 earlier this year. The transfer is INTERNAL ACCOUNT TRANSFER...not a transfer. You may need to do this if your name is at Enom.com and not Enom.TV / Enomcentral.com

I just renewed at name $35 but I only have 2 premiums there ...

I don't know about trying to transfer to a reseller (i.e. Namecheap) - you might want to ask their support - because technically they are ENOM and it wouldn't really be a move. NC is like the happy front end to a bad company.

(Note: They were going to be their own accredited registrar and I'm not sure where they are with that)
