I just saw that Enom.tv has changed their pricing from $19.95 per year to $24.95 per year! The good news is the renewal is also now $24.95 per year!

Ehh I would have liked 19.95 per year with 19.95 renewal or 24.95 renewal. I'll probably just stick to Moniker as I prefer them over Enom any day.

Wow thats conveinient! I think godaddy is going to start new pricing from what I have heard too. It cant be coincidence... LOL Anyhow the lower prices everywhere will help publicise the .tv extension any further. It probably will spur mass registrations, good thing we all got in early!

Yeah , I wasn't looking at the 1st year pricing anyway ;) - I was looking at the total cost over 3 years at least .... I'll stick with my current registrar.

Hey guys,

Remember Westblocks poll - reg for one or two years???

Thank gd I regged most of mine for only one year, - gave me the ability to spread the regges out more for the same buck, and now to know that the renewal costs have halved is truly fantastic.......

And for those that I did reg for two years, well I still got a good deal!!!!!

Senseable move by Enom - now lets see the premiums slashed by 90%!! B-)

It means that your renewal on that domain will be $24.95 instead of $50.00 which it was before.

What great news, I guess my theory was right,

I now can cut my yearly budget by almost 50% LOL

Way to go ENOM!!!

I am not sure what kind of logic anyone is using here, you could have regged 3 years for $59.85 vs 2 years at moniker with our deal for $55 or even the Godaddy Acrobat special of $50 for 2 years. So the old way at ENOM was better. IF you only regged for one year this is better now to get your renewal for 1/2 off but if you knew you wanted the domain the other way was better

A little bit difficult to decipher sometimes Eq, but I do see what you r saying !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Here is where the good deal comes in for me....... I did not want to reg a name for three years at sixty cause 90% of the names I reg I want to sell with 1 year. Any that I have regged for two years I either want to hold or have it pay for itself through expected PPC

But, it is always good to know, that for alot of those that I regged for one year, that if I can't get rid of them within one year, the price for renewal has been cut in half, making it cheaper to hold on for one more year and giving yourself a further 12 months to sell the reg....or make up the PPC from a more mature market (2009 instead of 2008)

I have to agree with Millers here.

I reg all my .tv's for 1 year. Mostly because they are for business purposes and so you know what they say about cash in the bank. What $20.00 is today for our company may be like $10 for our company next year.

Should not have been difficult to decipher Millers but I agree with what you are doing then sure that makes sense - only reg for one year. I don't reg .tv to flip them so I see the benefit at 2 years at $40 IF I reg for one if I do not sell I just drop the domain as you know since you own TART and ACHT

Can't really say I agree with you Searching if it is for business because you are saving $10 up front 2 years at $40 vs $24.99 then another $24.99 Cost savings IMO are a plus upfront

Here is what I am saying Equity.

Lets say right now our company has $100k in the bank and we have salaries to pay, design fees, rent etc... In this case every $20.00 counts because we are on a tight start-up budget.

Now lets say we raise $500k in 2 months. Then with $500k in the bank the $20.00 above does not "count" as much as it does now.

Now lets say in 1 year we have 1 Million in revenue. Now all of a sudden, $20.00 to the company would be more like $2.00. Another $1000 here of there won't make a difference in the bottom line. Today it does make a difference.

Hey Eq,

Only referring to the odd occasion when you write so fast, that the punctuation flies out the window!!!! and I am struggling to see where a sentence starts and ends!!!

But, yes, I know, running a forum means sacrifices must be made...so I will make room for this.... :)

Still cant believe you dropped ACHT!!!!

Fair enough I really was not thinking about Start ups. You have to wonder who suggested the change in price Rosenblatt or someone else

well, in any case, it certainly makes the GoDaddy $25 special for premium accounts concept irrelevant...

Well, I was thinking, 'I had most of my .TVs registered at dotTV for the past 4 years due to a combination of their great customer service and the fact that they gave me a healthy bulk discount every year for renewing which, when including my few premiums, turned out to be the best deal out there for me. When they were all switched to enom.tv with no discounts, regardless of how bulky the portfolio, it was going to mean a serious increase in the actual cost of my renewals. Said renewals are coming up, which previously would have read $50 each at .TV, but thanks to Scott and others, would not have actually been so. So a price cut at enom is indeed very cool for me.'

That's what I was thinking.

One negative I still see on the pricing sheet is the $50 transfer fee:(
