In my 6 years of domaining I've never seen an eNom transfer blocked.

eNom said:
The domain name is within 60 days (or a lesser period to be determined) after being transferred (apart from being transferred back to the original Registrar in cases where both Registrars so agree and/or where a decision in the dispute resolution process so directs).

I just bought this domain, so no idea when it was transferred to eNom. I've asked them to clarify when it can be transferred.

If the domain was registered in the last 60 days, or transferred registrars in the last 60 days it is not eligible to be transferred.

I have transferred several domains from Enom without issue, so I would assume it is in a lock period.

as bmugford stated newly rigged or newly transferred domains cannot be transferred for 60 days. This has been eNom policy for 2-3 years possibly even longer. Most registrars have a similar policy. Some registrars do overturn the policy on a case by case basis but not often.

This is normal for new registrations, and this is Icann regulation, for gTLDs.

It's a newly transferred domain. I didn't realize this 60 day rule also applied to transfers. At worst I thought that transfers were only 45 days.

It's normal, there must be at least 60 days between inter-registrar transfers.

Why transfer to eNom anyway? They are probably the worst registrar out there in terms of customer service, price and business ethics.

Isn't he trying to get the domain out of enom ?

Yep. Trying to get it out of eNom ;)

Actually, I have never really forgiven them when I won a domain at their old auction service, NameWinner, and the original owner was able to steal the domain because they never erased the domain password when pushing the domain to me. They refused to try to reclaim the domain for me. Called not erasing the password "a feature", but I noticed they erase the password these days. So that feature must have been flawed, eh? Nice way to treat an ETP. They did refund my purchase price, which was clearly against their ToS, at the time. So they were guilty, imho.

Their support has gone to **** these days too, like almost every registrar with an automated service. Having a real person account manager is a big bonus, for me, even though I maybe only contact them once or twice a month.

But I still love their control panel.

I now have a date when I can transfer the domain out :)
