eNom's tier pricing for direct resellers increases on September 30, the second increase in less than a year. The same group of TLDs are affected: .com, .net, .org, .info, .biz, .us, and .name. Like last time, the new prices are explained as industry-wide due to higher wholesale prices at VeriSign, Afilias, and Public Interest Registry.

No problem -- as long as the playing field is even. Is it really?

I dunno. As a WWD Super, I pay $6.75 and sell at $6.99.

Did WWD and Godaddy domains go up in October 2007? They must not get their .com/.net domains from Verisign. You obviously sell by the hundreds. I'm small volume and like a lot of ETPs, depend on sub-accounts which were always a hard sell. I think it just got impossible.

Recently there are discussion about price hike at Godaddy at Domain name Discussion forum, so yes GoDaddy increase price and she does it even before September 30.

You can only get .com, .net from Verisign

It is hard to make profit only by selling domains, you need to hard sell your customers for product add on like hosting, privacy, certificates, marketing ...

... and clarifying. That's what I thought.

Understood. But my sub resellers are bolting because "retail costs less" for every product mentioned, and I don't have a good answer.

I just get the feeling eNom would like us small fries to go away. For every promo in the past year I answer back "Yes" and get ignored.

for a basic ETP who uses Enom's credit card system, the minimum retail is now $11.24 .

I might sell my reseller, dont know how you guys make profit paying 6.99$ and then selling it, I only pay 6.49 and am not getting many sales selling them at 6.79, only have a few customers.

rjmlar, those look like the enom rates.

I was asking about the current WWD rates.

ResellerClub still look like they will be sticking with their 6.99 pricing. I've spoken with them and was told there was no plans to increase just because enom and godaddy are.

Those ARE enom rates, my mistake. Sorry about any confusion.

This is the whole point of my initial question. The playing field is uneven.

RC isn't sticking with their lowest 6.99 pricing. They too are hiking their price around the start of the next month and the lowest they seem to be offering is usd 7.89. They seem to be including a suite of new products & services which they claim can help generate additional revenue through display of advertisements..trying to find out more..
