Hi, guys,
Just got the notification from enom for their resellers.
Dear eNom Reseller,

As 2005 comes to an end, so will the special reseller pricing for .info domain names. Therefore, as of December 31, 2005, eNom will be ending the special discount on .info reseller rates. In 2006, prices for .info domains will then return to their original prices for resellers and subresellers.

The .info promotional pricing campaign was a great success, so look for further promotions from eNom in the coming year.

Thank you again for choosing eNom for your reseller needs. For more information on this or any other eNom reseller sales issue, contact your reseller account representative today.

Thank you, Your eNom Sales Team
So I guess the regular lower price at NP is going up in the next year. I didn't mean ending of the holiday sale. I mean the price goes back to 495 NP$, the same as .com.

I am not sure if it will happen, but I bet it is the last time to grasp some 95 NP$ .info at NP, or at even namecheap and registerfly too, as they are all enom resellers. [Edit: RegFly is not Enom reseller anymore:(]

If this information helps, reputation updating is alway appreciated. :hehe:

Dear Directi Reseller,
This is an announcement to let you know that starting from 30th December 2005, .INFO Domain names will be processed at $1.49 for the first year. More details on this will be mailed out to you separately, as we are in the process of building a page that allows you to pass on this promotional pricing to your customers.

.INFO Marketing Program Details

This pricing is available between 30th December 2005 to 30th June 2006.
This scheme ONLY applies to NEW .INFO domain names registered, and only for the FIRST YEAR of Registration. A 2 year .INFO Domain name therefore will be charged as [$1.49 + usual price for 1 year].
Renewals and Transfers will NOT attract this special pricing.
There are absolutely NO restrictions on the number of .INFO domain name registrations per Registrant Contact so register as many .INFO domains as you like!

Regards,
Sales Team
Directi
BTW registerfly.com isn't enom's reseller anymore

Yes, it certainly seems the price for .INFO will be going up to 495 NP$ on January 1st because we are using eNom has the back end reseller. I'm looking into other registrars that may have lower .INFO pricing.

Am I missing something here ?

Sorry I am a domain name trader, and have been for a few years now. I would much rather register a domain with a company I trust ( like through NP / Enom ) than save a couple of bucks and go elsewhere.

Personally if I would rather spend the little extra for peace of mind, let's face it a few bucks ( or for that matter $5 or even $20 ) is not really that much of a percentage of what I am looking to make out of the domain, I would rather spend that for the peace of mind :)

In the distant past I have been in the situation where the supplier turned bad, and it is something I would not even want to risk going through again.

Just my thoughts.

All the best

Richard

-RJ-, just a suggestion, why don't you use DirectI's reseller, or do you have to reprogram the whole system?

I am trying out DirectI's system as well. If the API is usable, its very possible it could be integrated into the NP$ registration system. It will take some time, 2-3 weeks I expect, but this does seem like a possiblility to get the low priced .INFOs back at NamePros.

I'm the same way, Sage. I would rather register names at a place with a friendly interface and good support over somewhere that I can save a few cents per registration. All of my names are transferred into eNom/NP and Fabulous now. But I don't fault anyone for looking for a good deal. I'd still like to be able to offer the best price possible.
