It's interesting because of its newsworthiness rather than its value (since anyone after a hand-reg has the $15.99 option), I'm betting eNom are starting to feel the pinch- that's why they're doing all these offers. They're discounting premiums by 15% until the end of December.

If they want to move more names there going need to get a venti starbucks coffee, couple shots, smell the coffee and wake up

I think Ray's post (in the other thread) sums up why not many (if any) are taking advantage of the premium discount:

Great strategy raise prices 9 fold like LLL.tv $500 to $4500 and then offer 15 % off. These people do not have a clue, about the extension or the economy. Try 70% and then maybe people get interested.

It's similar for this non-premium discount thingy- why pay $40 for two years, when you could pay $32 for two years, or $16 for just one.

Shame it doesn't work on renewals. I'd be interested then...
