.mobi Encouraging report for keyword .mobi's

Great report regarding mobile search.

in brief:

"... while currently only 30% of mobile users access the Internet on their mobile devices, 75% of those who do also conduct searches."

"An overwhelming 84% of mobile searchers expect the sites they visit frequently to have a dedicated mobile version."


Friends, I can't help but think these users will gravitate to .mobi sites. .Mobi, the "mobile friendly seal of approval" brand and tld all wrapped up in one.

I hear about mobile search being the next big thing, but I hardly ever hear .mobi mentioned in the same sentence (mainstream wise).

It's too soon for that kind of exposure because there is too little content. Develop your mobi's, submit them to the search engines and directories. People are out there right now searching for stuff on their mobile phone.
