I use Gmail for Business linked to my domain name portfolio MagnaDomains.com.
It looks more professional and more trustful. Keep in mind that you will be dealing with persons that don't know pretty much about domains and a good business image can close the deal.

You can check your email Spam score here: https://www.mail-tester.com
I have an 8,5 score which is great.

I have tried, but I don't include a logo because it hurts my SPAM score. On https://www.mail-tester.com it says that I have too less text in my email and if I include an image it's not good, it lowers my Spam score.

    Instead, I use a signature:

    My Name
    CEO, MagnaDomains
    www.MagaDomains.com

I am planning to move to Zoho but the lack of support is keeping me at the bay so far.

I have been trying to seek answers but failed regarding how many domains I can host under a basic membership, do you have any idea?

Catch-All is one thing that attracts me to move to them.

I use Rackspace, great service, $10/months per 10 mailboxes on multiple domains. I mean, $10 is the minimal package, i still don't use all 10 mailboxes but pay $10 anyway.

The best way to go with is [email protected]

and I assume the "yourdomain" you are mentioning is separate from the domain you are trying to sell?

It's probably best from the domain you are trying to sell, but its fine if it's from your domain marketplace website address. But it could be any real email address (not gmail etc).

    Hi Bob,
Is there no way to do outbound without violating the antispam law?
    Thanks

I'm not an expert on it, but my understanding is that by Canadian anti-spam legislation you are not to contact those who you have no ongoing business relationship with unless they have given permission (e.g. by opting in from a website). It is possible there are loopholes. Probably a first contact on social media, and then some indication of following up with more information might be allowed, but I have not looked at legislation in detail since I don't do outbound. Others from Canada may be able to give a more complete answer.

Your main goal should be getting inboxed. Unless you have a domain with a real good score, you are not getting inboxed even if you send one email a year from it.

The potential buyer will either like your name or not, he will know it all goes through escrow and if you have it listed on Afternic you could tell them they could buy it from Godaddy. If you are too concerned about commissions than don't start emailing, most people link emails with scams your cool domain from to address means nothing, it just in your mind makes you look professional.

If you are doing very selective outbound, meaning you find really good targets, maybe a total of 15 or 20, use gmail and always include a phone number in your email, even if they won't call, it makes people feel you are not trying to hide and it leads to less of them reporting it as spam.

Outbound works, however i'd say almost everyone does it wrong. I won't go on with more info because I learned years ago people have to waste their own time and money to learn.

    Good luck

    Thanks Bob and AEprogram.
Do you know if this Canadian antispam law includes sending messages from within Canada to other countries?

I will also appreciate inputs from other Canadian domainers.
