I need some advise. I was messaged about this domain just now with a low xxx offer via email. Should I counter or simply ignore?

It is an eKeyword.asia

I would suggest trying to work out a deal as it will probably be a long time before you get another offer.

Thank you Brad,

I forgot to tell that I payed $120 for this domain in dotAsia.pool.com landrush auctions...

If you are making a profit, better to sell it to increase visibility on the extension.
I receive offers too, just not profitable offers else I would sell.

Reply to your offer and let us know if you sold it. If you bought it ofr $120 if they offer anything over $180 you are making 50% ROI. As long as you make money. Sell it.

What you paid has no relationship to what it's worth... It's a great keyword- and probably one of the best ones you can have with a prefix- but it's a .asia which is where the value is.

.asia is a totally failed extension, however, like any other extension, if someone has development plans for it, it can be made to work. I wouldn't sit forever on speculative .asia names thinking that higher offers are right around the corner.

But then again, if you do not need the money. Don't sell it.
Keep it for 5 years.

The extension will grow. This is not speculation that extension will now. Its a sure thing.
The keyword is ABSOLUTELY STRONG.

Particularly games.
But the cost of registration for 5 more years is going to cost you at least 5x12.50=62.5 or 15x5=75 dollars.

I would keep it if I am a long term investor.

Really? .ASIA has been a total failure and will never be adopted widely.

.ASIA is pointless as all the big countries there already have popular ccTLD's.

The extension has certainly not gone up in value since the landrush.

Reminds me of the story, two business guys went to Africa, witnessed that a lot of people did not wear shoes, one guy came back to America, concluded: There is no business opportunity in Africa.

The other came back to America say there's a huge market.
---------------------------------------------------------------------And Guess which one is right?

Using the above example. Replace two business guys with 2 domainers.
Both see that not many people buy into dot Asia, just over 200K registered, not too many. With internet usage at over 300 Million in 2008 that's less than 1% (not counting other extensions)

According to A google thttp://www.internetworldstats.com/stats.htm or http://www.businessweek.com/globalbiz/content/jul2008/gb2008073_344519.html

One guy concluded: Its a failed extension. The other: There's definite growth in the long term.
Same story, same moral.

tech4......asia is not recognised as a domain ext in asia, as Brad said, all the asian countries have their own extension which they use...have a look at the stats on how many .ASIA names were regged and how many of those names were dropped the following year

Have a look at Nambio how many .ASIA names have been sold, the extension is not even listed lol

Sell the name ASAP

eGames is actually a software company, and if they raised a WIPO dispute they probably have a good chance of winning.

---------- Post added at 08:41 PM ---------- Previous post was at 08:39 PM ----------

eGames, Inc., headquartered in Langhorne, Pennsylvania, develops and publishes casual games for the PC and the Internet which now include the eGames(tm), Cinemaware(r) and Cinemaware Marquee(tm) brands which can be found at leading national retailers. eGames, Inc. is a public company traded on the Pink Sheets (EGAM). Gilescoley, being mentioned in Namesbio or not is irrelevant. Its all about one's investing strategy.

Short term yead sell it. (1-2 yrs)
Long term -hold. (3-5 years)

sorry, you dont believe that do you...it proves whether .asia sells or not lol

Giles: Dot asia are sold monthly, just that they are not being reported. I check monthly, just haven't recorded them. As we are speaking now try this page.

Sedo - All auctions - brought to you by DOTMOBIz.COM

Check it monthly/weekly. You will know.

Now does the fact the Namebio does not mention any sales have to do with actual sales ? No. As I said its irrelevant if its mentioned or not.

If something sold for a hundred or 50 dollars, its not going to be reported. And sometime the parties dont want to report. Check the link once in a while everymonth.
