EFTY - PayPal Transaction Initiated But Not Completed

What's everyone's experience with this on BUY IT NOW transactions? Is it usually that the potential buyer changed their mind at last moment? The contact info was completed and looks legit. The domain price is low $xxx.

The msg from efty is basically that the buyer failed to complete payment and to reach out directly. Anyone reach out directly and have success?

I would email and ask what happened to the buyer.

It happened again on same domain but with different contact info. Emailed first potential buyer and no response.

Anyone experience this on efty?

Sometimes the offer is not really an offer to buy a domain. Sometimes I get people submitting offers for work-related domains who are looking for work. Other times for real estate domains they are looking to rent or buy an apartment / home. Other times they want to buy bitcoin. Other times they are thinking in their local currency and even though the landing page says offers must be in USD, if their English is not that good they may totally miss that part - so I get six figure offers which translated into USD are peanuts. And of course yes I get USD offers from the U.S. And the buyer just never pays.

You should take any web purchase through escrow.com (or another escrow company) as an inquiry until the buyer actually funds the transaction. Until that point, it's often as likely to fall through as go through.

After it happened enough, I learned to stop counting the money too soon.

Using escrow is propbably the best way at Efty.

Also, you might want to check the "Inquiry verification" option at your marketplace settings.
