I noticed that someone has the .EU domain VOIPTEL.EU up for sale on the SEDO listings. I checked and that name is still available for the pre-registration landrush period. So I send the following e-mail to SEDO.

Topic: General Information

Domain: voiptel.eu

Comments:
How can you have VOIPTEL.EU listed on your listings as for sale when it is still available in the landrush and sunrise 2 application period. In other words this name is not owned by anyone yet.

Regards

Fred

To which I received the following reply

Hi Fred,

Thanks for contacting me. We cannot allow members to list domains which they do not own. We will be ready to list .eu domains on April 7th. If you own a .eu domain by that time you can certainly add it and feature the domain.

Please let me know if you have any more questions.

Best Regards,

There is not even any application pending.
I think I will make an offer on the name. If the seller does not sell I will get angry :hehe:

Chancers!

Funny, there was a German guy selling a few .EU's on eBay a week ago... I wrote him asking how he can be selling the names he had up when they're still available on the EU whois site, not even in a pending state.

He replies saying that I could bid on his eBay auctions for his EU domains, but I'd only "own" the name if he is able to obtain the domain first.

Unreal...!

LOL - That's sad :td: So much for their confirming ownership before being listed ??

If you click on more details it says:

Error

There were errors processing your request:

The domain voiptel.eu could not be found

Please correct your input

I sent another mail to Kathleen explaing that she had not understood my message properly. She has since replied to me again apologising for her misinterpretation and the name has now been removed.
Actually on reading my original message to her I can see that is possible to misinterpret the content but to do so would mean that she must have thought me a retard for asking such a question. :hehe:
