Easiest Blog Program UPDATED QUESTION

I wanna insert a blog into some of my sites, and want it to kind of be a web publishing system. The thing is I want to be able to hire writers, and not put the content up myself(cause of how many sites there are) but yet I don't wanna give them account access at the same time.

Obviously a Blog makes sense.

I don't have the skillz to do anything hard, I barely know how to make a table in dreamweaver :). So I need something super easy that will do the job. Any ideas what program could help me out and be best suited for me?

Again, Easy to install/setup is the key here.

Thanks in advance.

You can put the Blogger softwar onto your mainpage of a site? If so is there a link to download that and instructions? I don't see it. Thanks.

WordPress I have heard about as well obviously, is that pretty easy to install do you know?

Thanks for the suggestions.

I've never used WordPress. I like blogger, personally, but WordPress is more powerful.

With Blogger, you can choose Settings -> Publishing for each blog. Select "FTP" and enter your FTP details, and filename details, and there you have it. Each time you publish it goes straight to your own server.

Ok last questions.

I notice with wordpress it says my host needs to have mysql. Well my hosting is jacked and only comes with 1 mysql database. I already installed a forum using that. Can I use that same mysql to install these into my sites? Or is it 1 and done and I am gonna have to find a new host.

Any Blog programs that don't anybody knows about?

I may do blogger, I havent figured out how to add my banners ETC to the page though.

Thanks again.

Wow, I just tried Blogger, I'm def gonna use that. Very simple it looks like. Only thing I'm not sure about at this point is how to get the portion I want to be updated in the content place. Also hope it doesn't display my server info for the updater to see. Thanks a lot though.

UPDATE:
OK, so I want to integrate my html into blogger, how do I do this? Which part of the blogger content so I need.

I have my HTML from my site, and the HTML Blogger gives you to start..but which piece do I need to transer from blogger to the one in my site? Kind of stuck right now. Thanks.

Blogger is the BEST!! You can change every aspect of itt :).

PS. PM me for a way to remove the toolbar at the top =O

As for intergrating html, edit the tempalte, put the HTML in that you want. If you want to make your own template, search google for how to make a blogger template. There are some good tutorials out there ;)

yea I def wen't with blogger, spent last night setting them all up, still need to do a lot of work.

I just decided to insert the banner with one of the templates, as I couldnt figure out how ot integrate it.

Like for instance, one of my sites is
http://www.packergreen.com
and I put the Blog at: http://www.packergreen.com/blog.html

Doesn't look that bad for a newbie. :)

I personally use WordPress for my site and love it, highly recommended overall.

On a related note - we have set up a lot of blogs for clients using Blogger. Any thoughts on if either one is easier to SEO (Wordpress vs Blogger) ? The latter definitely creates SE friendly static URLs for each posting... just interested in learning about other folks' experiences.

Cheers,

Rob
