I already know: the question "singolar or plural?" can have different answer regarding the situation.

But: when the word is something like computer/s, dvd/s, cd/s, videogame/s, console/s, television/s, etc..

Which form is better in your opinion?

Have you seen some comparable sales in the past?

Thank you!

In my opinion...singular, in both cases (although I would still be very, very happy with the plural versions).

I personally like plural better since it sounds better and there are more options. If you have computer.com it's like there is only one computer but with computers.com if you have many different computers. Hopefully you get my point.

I'd say dvd.com and computers.com

For most product names plural is better as evidenced by some of the most well-established sites such as Cars.com, Hotels.com, Tickets.com, Tires.com, Loans.com, etc, instead of Car.com, Hotel.com, Ticket.com, etc.

Yes I prefer singular!

I agree. DVDs.com sounds forced, while computer.com sounds like you have just one.

Just goes to show that the choice of plural vs. singular depends on the keyword and how either plural/singular works as a brand.

Interesting, thank you for your opinions.

Generally, I would say the singular is better, though the plurals are often just as good, or better. For your examples:

DVD.com
Computer.com
CD.com
Videogames.com
Console.com
Television.com

I think it depends alot on the word.

I'd type computers but not televisions. I guess, most commonly, a singular would be better :gl: !

I think, as many have already suggested, it depends on the word in question.

Singular seem to be the better choice when it comes to domain and that for many cases, the plural form is the alternative. Generic domain such as car.com and cars.com, I feel that both are just as good as long as they are developed well.

I'm with Xyris on this one..in general however singular is almost always better. That extra letter at the end holds no extra value ;)
