Ok, this will just make my quest to put a spotlight on "forgotten original extensions" complete!
...
Upon general consensus, .ORG is the ONLY extension so far that most people would agree can have a stand alone website without .COM
(We personally have a company website using only .org)
...
The biggest problem with .ORG seems to be that many names don't fit the extension, but I don't really agree since the domain has been around since the very beginning and can easily be made as generic as the Almighty .COM!
...

One of the few .orgs that I own is NetChat.org - had it for about 4 years or so now - not sure why I registered it in the first place, but I've stuck with it. It's even had a few low $xxx offers on it in the past which I have turned down.

AT ZERO has so many logical applications. Wouldn't you know it, I just watched a commercial for itshouldbezero.org (muha) I guess they didnt see that my name was up for sale. Ah well...

Surprisingly, it may fit .org as a "search portal" for shopping very well.

I am contemplating spending $xxx towards a .org domain name. I don't normally step out of line from my beloved .com especially with the higher price tag unless I have a good feeling about the domain name.

It is......

dictionary word
300,000,000+ Google search results
300,000+ average monthly searches per month
low ad competition
flexible service uses
$1.30 ppc
all other extensions are registered

The .com is under construction and .net is not developed.

My biggest reason for buying it would be to develop it but I also know it has ROI potential.

With out giving anymore information, I am curious to know if the more knowledgeable .org investors would see possibilities in these stats?
