dot com or . net

hi i am new to the domains so i would like to ask about .com and .net

the domain i am willing to register is registered .com but available .net

and the .com has a blog but no page rank on it and no updates on the blog.

.net is available to register i was willing to buy the .com but not sure if the owner well sale it.

so what do you think dos it worth to register .net or i could find some one to contact the owner for me any advice is welcomed ..

Dot com is king. Your much better off with the dot com over the dot net. In case of value dot net is usually the second best extension.

If you register the dot net then try and buy the dot com the seller may do a search and notice you just bought the dot net. This may cause the seller to ask a higher price.

Is the dot com you want listed for sale?

no its not listed but i was willing to find some one who know to find a way to finish the sale of the domain i just get the owner email but i really don't know the way to do it right.

Are you looking to develop? You could email the owner and start from there. Of course the owner could then reg the .net on you. It's a tough situation.

If .com is register I recommend that you ethier contact the owner and attempt to establish a deal with him or just find another domain. You can find the owner info with whois I am pretty sure.

Try to get the name or an alternative, but egt the com.
If your blog / forum gets up and going you might lose a lot of traffic if u dont have a com.
You can still choose, after u have it up and going, it wont be that easy to switch.
