dot ca value compared to equivalent dot com

I know there will always be exceptions and many variables, but does anyone here work with an approximate ratio between dot com and dot ca resale values for the same keywords? EG if examplekeyword.com sells for $10,000, how much is the examplekeyword.ca worth?
Does anyone know of a list of comparison com/ca sales?

Based on my PPC earnings, I've been working with dot com = at least 10x the value of the equivalent dot ca. Just wondering what others think.

I tried a few others in estibot, and the prices ranged from 25-425:1. I think 25:1 may be realistic - over 100:1 seems very inaccurate.

christian_1983 - I see that you have a good portfolio of dot ca domains - do you use any metric to compare those values to the equivalent dot coms?

I really don't use any metric to compare vs com i look for names i feel have commercial potential and try like the rest of us for the best deal possible.

Same here. Never really given it much thought before.

Your .ca = 1/10th of .com is probably fairly accurate for domain names related to consumer products like cars, stereos (cause Canadians like to buy from Canadians) and with domain names related to things like divorce, banking (cause we have different laws here and the .ca may actually be preferred by end user.

For names related to things like sex then the .com would be worth at least 100X the .ca or any other ccTLD.

Would be interesting to see some past sale comparison, don't know of any.

Pffft Estibot. It's a tool. The most accurate appraisals you will get will be from members here at Name Pros.

But I think .ca are mostly good if the keywords is something Canadian related, or if a company, website etc... want to be develop a website, product etc... for Canada.
But Like sex.com is of course better then the .ca cause the .com is world wide, while the .ca is just Canada and can be used for much more. I think thoe if you have a popular keyword or something that can be used for a product, it's well worth to reg the .ca domain. Or just like a LL.ca, LLL.ca, etc... But of course the .com will probably continue to be the most popular TLD and they are worth more then any other tld, cctld, etc...

I'm a big fan of .ca and have found it very difficult to accurately appraise the values of particular .ca domains... Unlike .com, this segment seems to have prices a little bit all over the place, although prices among particular niches (eg. LLL.ca, LL.ca) do seem to be somewhat predictable.
