I can see a number of these getting picked up - there a few others I'm surprised they accepted the high reserve and can't see selling because of it. What do you think?

Buying incognito has helped me a lot and when the timing is right I will release a list.
Yes, I stopped posting about my buys/sells a few years back. I can understand why some people use brokers or "friends" to bid, when I was buying liquid domains, some people thought I had real deep pockets and had money to burn! Did't appreciate being played for a "fool and his money will some part"

Also that why I have my long term portfolio "private", way less "would you take" offers today..of course back then never thought of liquid ca's (NNN, LLL one keyword etc)...regret it today!

I can undoubtedly see value in this approach. While you're attracting less eyes to your domains (as you limit your direct marketing) the eyes that ultimately do end up on your domains are more valuable. If you're to rely primarily on an inbound approach with the intent to sell to end-users, there's no need to make your assets known.

Interesting - thank you for sharing your thoughts.

Have you had much success over the years with your LLLs and NNNs?

I'm heavily involved with the Canadian Version of this line so I wanted a Canadian Domain and this domain name was not used for a number of years.

Since this is a developed site I prefer not to talk about the acquisition costs.

I have been busy buying more .ca's and got a number of them this month but I have refrained from posting them or the price because it seems whoever sees the name mapledots on an inquiry increases it by 5k just because it's me.

Buying incognito has helped me a lot and when the timing is right I will release a list.

There will be a number of surprises on that list.

PS. With online treatment and health kit by apple the words "Follow the Protocol" are becoming more common and I figured protocol.ca will always have a decent resale value.
I really like this domain.

In addition to the use-case you've outlined, the term "protocol(s)" is experiencing a large surge in popularity through blockchain + cryptocurrencies, as well.

Protocol is such a great name! In addition to those mentioned, would be ideal for management, human resources, legal, etc. application or for science lab safety. Incredible name!

Yes, rarity is a seller to some endusers..was very fortunate to sell a N-N portfolio ! Used majority of profit to extend registration on other domains in long term portfolio! Probably one of the smartest moves that I made, saved a lot of money (USA funds) extending them and "private" registering them.

As there are only 100 (0-0 to 9-9) available N-N in any extension, tried to acquire majority of them, realized some N-N were best to stay away from because of previous history (bad bad sites)...also "hyphen" are really hard niche to sell, that why I sold as a portfolio..

N--N/L--L is another hard niche to sell lol

Of course, would have divided it up if it was during the "Chinese" premium number "pump and dump" phase...and made way more money!

wow, that was the fastest notification and payment withdrawal for a TBR.

CanSpace picked up CryptoLawyer.ca for me today

now what to do.

Sell as a Domain
Sell as a built lead gen site
Build and sell leads
Build a niche directory site?

what are your thoughts

thanx Dan

Personally, I would develop a niche directory, (course have experience) but "lawyers" are highly targeted market (deep pockets competition) and google getting harder to rank in, (maybe easier for a Geo directory extension)..did use a wordpress template (worth looking into)..lots of time involved in setting up a speciality niche directory!

Pink.ca is the obvious winner there - a 4-letter colour with multiple potential uses and connotations.

I came across this yesterday. It was registered in May 2018. Didn't check the drop list, assumed it was a hand reg.

If you owned it what would be your asking price for paintr.ca?

Can't figure out the pictures sorry. You'll have to follow the link.

You can join that flickr group if you like. "Domain Name Photos".
