I can see a number of these getting picked up - there a few others I'm surprised they accepted the high reserve and can't see selling because of it. What do you think?

Not sure if this is the right place to ask, but does anyone want to do some Beta testing for a marketplace exclusive to .CA's?

If so, send me a PM

Let me guess...

SellYour(dot)ca

If that is the one BuySell.ca would be a more accurate marketplace descriptor.

When DNC.ca finally goes down I might put up the holy grail of Canadian Domains and utilize rule_violation for a similar purpose.

Hope you do, the more places to target .CA buyers and sellers the better

Hi
just going through my names, watching them all drop lol, I know a lot of you are following the marijuana niche. I am a paramedic by day - domain slave by night - so i get calls all the time for people using " green gummies and other edibles "

would this name fit within that niche?

Chewables.ca

I originally was going to target the children's medication / supplement niche but that went no where.

any thoughts would be appreciated.

As much as I would say that is an excellent domain.... it also presents challenges

It cannot be a company name (huge money maker gone)
It cannot be a product name because it does not say enough.

That said... would I register it?

As a one word yes but for profit potential..... it could be a long hold.

In the Pot industry? ....... it's a real long shot

In the end though it is one of those domains that you would kick yourself if you did not pick it up.

Well, you could name your company Chewables Whatever, but I'm not sure it would be a good business decision.

I think for that, Chewable.ca would be a lot better. Like Chewable Pot Inc and use the core name for the domain.

In the cannabis niche avoid anything "Children related"
"
Protecting youth
The Cannabis Act has several measures that help prevent youth from accessing cannabis. These include both age restrictions and restricting promotion of cannabis."

That's more government BS, as I've received promo materials on lots of companies who are set up to produce pot edibles, candy, cakes, cookes, lollipops, and that idiotic "protecting the youth" crap hasn't stopped them one bit.

When your hophead Prime Minister makes pot legal, it's legal, and the genie is out of the bottle.

He is saying the system is not working. I had to go to on online classified site.. and meet a guy in a parking lot at 8pm to buy a bag.
OZ pink kush 120$ tax free:cigar:

Can get some candies way cheaper than what the club was selling it for too:xf.grin:
10 10mg candies $10
The underground market is thriving

Is there an exact time when the TBR leftovers are made available to the general public?

Obviously not, I'm just saying that portion you quoted is essentially toothless, as marijuana candies, cookies, lollipops, etc. are already in the works, marketed to "adults" (wink, wink) of course.

It depends on the Registrar, but anywhere from after 3PM to around 5PM.

Thanks. Just registered 2 domains from your leftover list!

Glad it came in handy.

BTW, it's long gone now, but why didn't GROWERY.CA go in the TBR? It's a term I hear daily now that pot is legal and usage on "growery" or "micro-growery" is (ahem) growing.

Well, GROWERY.COM, .NET and .ORG all forward here:

https://www.growery.org/

I missed out on getting it when they dropped (went 2 for 4) and I thought it was worth a 5-spot to get for a year and see if I could turn it into a few bucks. Someone else thought the same thing apparently.

You pay $5 to register a .ca? I just registered 3 domains for $1 each.

I don't like spreading them around to save a few bucks - I use 3-4 Registrars and none of them have the $1 sale right now.

I used Rebel and they have $1 deal if you first search for the domain in CIRA and then click their ad. Godaddy also has an ad there for $1.

Damn, I should have looked first for Rebel.

Then again, I have lost some pretty nice domains by wasting time trying to save a few bucks. I remember one time maybe a year+ ago, I had a real nice LLL that somehow got passed on, and I thought I had it for $1, but it crashed and I missed it by a second.

The damn thing sold too.

I've had multiple order crashes (where two people try to get the same domain within seconds of each other) on the TBR drop.
