MyId.ca

Had an experience with a member here where it took forever to get a domain out.
I have been trying to purchase some domains there and they need a drivers license for authentification.

I sent it June 14th and still no response.

TO ANYONE LISTING AT MYID.CA

WE CANNOT BUY YOUR DOMAINS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I sometimes do not have much luck with Myid support either. Namespro is my favourite when it comes to customer support for .ca’s.

MyID caught evil.ca when it dropped. I was in a Dennys in Calgary when the auction started. I attempted to log in to my account-no can do. So i tried a password reset. Nothing came in to my email. Try the reset again - nothing comes into my email. I email support, no response. Panic sets in. I initiate a 3rd password reset. Nothing comes in. I have to make an appointment in downtown Calgary.

I finish the appointment I still can't get into my account. Now I'm really mad, I hit my rainy day fund for that name. By this time I'm pretty sure the auction is over. It's mid afternoon in Calgary and I start heading for the coast. I stop in Golden BC, 3 hrs West to check my email. There's one from MyID which says in a bitchy tone that they didn't get my support request in time.

The Kicker? I get home I boot up my PC and auto login with my original username and password. I can find no record of the auction in my account. I send them an email asking what happened again they say I didn't contact them soon enough. So i ask them how much it sold for. Over $2000 is their answer.

Maybe it's my own fault, I did say in this thread that I wanted the name and that can attract the wrong kind of attention.

In any case I won't use them again.

Everyone who isn't named MyID or Pool sucks at TBR.

Sibername is up there with Pool if not ahead of them. Pool use to be quite good at catching TBR’s but now they suck! Myid is definetely the best one for TBR’s.

You're right about Sibername, but if Pool really wants a name, they bring out the guns blazing to get it.

Sibername works OK for me for TBR.

crypto cloud
.ca

That was on my list to register today...... you got me by a few minutes.

Not really sure how big the market is for .ca crypto domains though because the whole point of crypto is to be international so the .com is always the best choice.

I was thinking about this one and hesitated and you picked it up. It was talked about behind the lines that it was available.

Good call, that is one of the rare .ca crypto's I would have registered.

Has the old usage of aiml doomed this letter combination for newer interpretations like ai & ml ?
Wondering if I made a mistake with aiml.ca

...because that would not help me much with the other 10 AIML domains I got either.

I guess they could be served as side dishes and appetizers with the main course.

It's funny though how Pool couldn't catch a dot com to save their lives. I get their hot list every day and backorder through them. I can't remember them catching anything for me in at least a couple of years.

wow, that was the fastest notification and payment withdrawal for a TBR.

CanSpace picked up CryptoLawyer.ca for me today

now what to do.

Sell as a Domain
Sell as a built lead gen site
Build and sell leads
Build a niche directory site?

what are your thoughts

thanx Dan

I purchased www.Protocol.ca and have just finished developed a site for it.

This was a purpose based acquisition.

I'm heavily involved with the Canadian Version of this line so I wanted a Canadian Domain and this domain name was not used for a number of years.

Since this is a developed site I prefer not to talk about the acquisition costs.

I have been busy buying more .ca's and got a number of them this month but I have refrained from posting them or the price because it seems whoever sees the name mapledots on an inquiry increases it by 5k just because it's me.

Buying incognito has helped me a lot and when the timing is right I will release a list.

There will be a number of surprises on that list.

PS. With online treatment and health kit by apple the words "Follow the Protocol" are becoming more common and I figured protocol.ca will always have a decent resale value.
