I can see a number of these getting picked up - there a few others I'm surprised they accepted the high reserve and can't see selling because of it. What do you think?

Almost forgot

got an offer of $1,200 for timy.ca

Said it was a good start and in 9 more payments it can be fully theirs

thats nice. where was the offer made?

I am afraid to get greedy on .ca domains.
when I sold jobleads...ca for $1000 that was his frist offer.. though he did take care to say he can't go higher.. didn't mean it was true.. either way... i didn't wanna take chances.. but I guess you're braver than me when comes to .ca hahahah

so this was like a... handreg to you recently or what?

It was a drop I had actively pursued and I think it has a pretty obvious potential in the same category as timmy.

I can see it now.... visit us at timmy.ca..... not complete without timy.ca for spelling and hashtags etc

There is a reason I had the inquiry.

PS. Came via my lander

hope you get your 5 figures on it one day

Both people were very smart to turn me down, why do you think I offered 20k?

I am actively pursuing those domains as we speak and if I get any one of them I will post back.

Some personal thoughts..
Even though, I have a few domains on page one for a few keywords, ebay.ca is a hard place to sell domains , (do get visits to my non-ebay pages)!

Made a mistake using "business card' on my .namespro.ca Domain setting, getting a lot of "time wasters" calls on my cellphone, changed to their "domain for sale"option..

For those who regularly participate in the TBR, which drop-catching service provider do you prefer?

Cheers!

I use canspace.ca for 59 bucks per and has a good success rate

That said a lot of times I cross my fingers and just wait for the drop at reg fee :xf.grin:

Is there an auction/bidding mechanism in place in the event that numerous people bid on the same domain (e.g. NameJet) or is it a blind bid?

MYID.ca seems to be at or near the top of the leaderboard for backorders.
Sibername is ok.
Namespro is ok if you are willing to pay to get their attention.

Pool.com is an option. I have used them a few times. Once succesfully for a .ca long time ago
Recently they were beat twice by dropcatch on my backorders
They refund quick on missed orders.
Not sure how others work, but they debit your card immediately after placing order.
Custumer support number is in Canada, facebook page says they have office here, I remember calling and talking to customer service once.

canspace does really good for me with the regular service, $59 bucks and I get the domain about 80% of the time. They only charge me once they get the domain so refunds are never necessary.

I notice on today's Namebio report a nice sale of debut.ca for $2999 on Flippa. Not sure if it was someone on NPs, but congratulations to the seller!

https://namebio.com/debut.ca

I hope that this bodes well for the two with same word I own, debut.world and debut.fun! I really like the word debut, even though so far it has not sold many times. I think it sounds modern and catchy and is short. Except for an accent it is the same in French and English, a bonus.

I've seen Tarton and Grabton a few times most of the rest are new to me.
You need to be a registrar to catch names I believe, or at least affiliated with one.

Always wondered why domainers don't get together and start one TBH. The profit potential is obvious. I guess we are all just lone wolves.
