I was way off! :P

BMS.ca is seriously premium in every way and I expected $3K at least. Lots of businesses fit that abbreviation and if a couple of big ones fight through their brokers, who knows?

Its at $15k now and still going!
This has to be going to an end-user at that price..

Makes me wonder why they haven't reached out to me for InterestFree.ca

As was mentioned before, it is somewhat curious that TBR auctions consistently tend to fetch much higher prices than aftermarket sales.

That's because when a company thinks they're going against another company, the bidding can heat up like mad, especially as it's all a writeoff anyway.

But ask them to negotiate with a domain investor and they feel all dirty.

What are the odds that businessloans sits without it resolving for months..... Just like a lot of other big .ca’s from a myid TBR.

Nothing I wanted this week. Still pissed abou
I personally think myid should be investigated, they often catch the top drops and nobody else has a chance. You then think.... ahh someone from their marketplace but they do own a lot of those dropped domains directly.

Even if we complain they will just register the picked up domain in a different name so we cannot really win.

I think there should be a web interface where anyone registered with cira can go to and submit their desire for the dropping domain. A computer at cira's end should then make a random pick as to who gets it, basically like a lottery.

I don't understand why a system that is supposed to be for all Canadians can be dominated by a few companies. It is up to us to be vocal and tell cira how we feel so we can get this changed.

We need to put a couple of domainers on CIRA's board.

We should start keeping a list in Excel and find out. Any volunteers?

It's a shame that these sales aren't publicly disclosed. This would rank in the top ~100 .ca (publicly disclosed) sales of all time.

Sales provide credibility, and credibility drives sales. Disclosing these sales would do nothing but help the growth of .ca as a mainstay of Canadian businesses.

Is @MapleDots still on a spending spree ? :xf.smile:

For the right domain.... absolutely but it has to fit into my vision for a prefect one word domain.

One Word
Dictionary
Singular
Positive meaning
Short
Preferably no plural or shorter form available

ie
Red, Perfect, Smooth

No shorter forms available and no plurals to compete with. They are dictionary with a positive meaning.

So spending spree is not the case.... just for what fits into my vision of a perfect .ca domain.
