I can see a number of these getting picked up - there a few others I'm surprised they accepted the high reserve and can't see selling because of it. What do you think?

Hush "is a state of mind". Laying it on thick, I love it! Great brandable!

I look at it more like a secret as in

Offhand I wouldn't take any of them. I'm holding my own batch of 3l's that aren't moving.

I'm really on the edge with a few of them - the 15 years of marketing with zero buyers (and they were dropped rather than renewed) certainly scares me, but a few look good enough to take a chance.

But no way you want to get into a bidding war over this stuff, as there doesn't seem to be any direct buyers for any of them. I guess that's a big reason why they got dropped, Excellent Domains got tired of waiting for a company to develop under those acronyms,

Or sales are down, and they are trying to shed renewal expenses. You have to be very lean, otherwise those renewals are going to eat profits. My guess no good leads on any of these names in past 3 years, so they cut them from the roster.

Gonna give you guys some advice here (something that works well for me)

I list all my domains on godaddy auctions with opening bid of $20 which is the minimum.

Then I record how many bites I get on each domain. I traditionally do not respond unless an offer is reasonable but at least I have an idea how many nibbles the domain gets and if there is any interest.

Secondly, I have all my domains forward to my lander and there I have a google analytics code so I can see how many times each domain was visited per year.

Together these two valuable bits of information can guide you when deciding which domains to drop or keep.

Hope that helps

The site is impressive but that is expected..
custom homes + GTA = big money

Today's lesson..no more last minute decisions without research..should have checked last week's TBR and researched the "available" sites BEFORE using Rebel discount.

I know, but that's the point - these must be dead in terms of interest to not even warrant a renewal.

It's probably another of GoDaddy's "Lifetime Codes" where you need to be reincarnated to use it a second time.

Can someone consider buying this domain from this poor soul, he has bumped it over 100 times trying to get $15 for a LLL.ca

Not my domain, but I keep seeing it in the list, thought maybe someone might want to put it out of it's bump misery.

Weird. This is what I see when testing it out

I often get similar and then when you submit it does not work.

Once you place it in your cart, and are ready to check out the price will change. Usually you get one per account. Otherwise godaddy would be taking an 80% loss on such names.

I still remember the groupon fiasco where people were buying a groupon for every state, and stacking them in their account into the thousands.

Looks like you all were right. For some reason, when it hits the cart it jumps to $10.99 for the first year.

Classic bait and switch and a reminder as to why I never register .CA's at GoDaddy

Yup I will buy something and the promo code is in the basket, placed there by godaddy. Go to pay and it goes away or says its invalid.

Personally I am more for a fair pricing structure, forget all the promos and give a fair price to start with.

Kind of reminds me of the Hudsons Bay company, you need a degree to keep track of the sales and markdowns. Have not been there in years since I paid over $200 for a coat I could later by for $80.

Is anyone else having trouble using the WHOIS page at the CIRA?

It started acting up yesterday, and it no longer works on my Chrome or Firefox but it still works on Edge, and I think it's a cookie issue (although the CIRA cookies are set in both) or maybe some other issue like access to hardware or needing to view other things that my security protocols don't allow (like location tracking).

It's Big Brother time at the CIRA, apparently.

Either way it's pretty freaking irritating to not be able to use WHOIS on your main browsers. Anyone else have a problem?

I worked at the GAP in college and it was the same. Within a week or two everything gets moved to the sale rack at crazy discounts. So never buy clothing a full price, wait a bit and you'll be rewarded

It's gotta be something weird where the CIRA wants access to my camera or location tracking, etc. and rather than giving me an error, it just doesn't work on anything but dumb-ass, security-less Edge.

Shoot, nothing works anymore, and even the TBR list just sits there spinning forever.

Just add in the PROMO code: COCAGCA011 and should work.
