DomainTools whois: 1 domain, 2 creation dates?

On the Whois Record tab, creation date shows as 2005 (and consequently if you check places like Fabulous, GoDaddy, etc.).

On the Registration tab, creation date shows as 1999 (which is what Internic shows too).

The problem I have is that I believe the Whois Record tab one to be the correct one, but I use domain Status Reporter for bulk checking whois (namely to get creation dates) and the only whois addresses Domain Punch indicate to use either don't work or give me the 1999 creation date.

So question: Which IS correct, and what whois server that would give the correct one works with Domain Name Analyzer or Domain Status Reporter? Any help will be much appreciated, thank you!

The real creation date is the one returned by the registry.

The creation date in the registrar whois output may vary because some registrars use the date the name was transferred to them instead.
Enom does this for example. In this context 'Creation date' actually means the date the name entered their system.
