Hello everyone,

So, i just discovered flipping and i wanted to dig into this subject since I saw some people made a lot of money with flipping.

Sorry if my question is kinda stupid but i need to know. Are expired domains with no traffic worth of buying?.

Thanks in advance.

I dont even check traffic.
Maybe I should, but I prefer selling to end users.
Guess what?
End users dont know about & dont care about traffic.
They want names that are meaningful, memorable, and trustworthy.
Those are the traits I look for.

Most of my end user sales had no traffic and the ones that did it was never asked about from the end user. Most times when ya get an email asking about traffic stats you have a domainer on the line which isn't my market. Domains that make business sense without traffic are fine as end users generally don't care.

Maybe, maybe not. It depends on the domain name. Ask HugeDomains.com. They have a huge business based solely upon buying expired domains. Most probably without any traffic.

If you are flipping. You are selling to other domainers. They generally will only buy domains with traffic. So why would you want to buy domains without traffic?

You should heed biggie's warning about flipping. There are many more domainers losing money than making money. If you are considering buying expired domains without traffic for flipping to other domainers, I think you are going to fall into the group losing money.

Some domain investors seem to be obsessed with things that are irrelevant to the majority of end users. Although in many cases traffic and age may increase the value of a name, what makes the difference, as others have said, is whether the domain means something to the buyer. In my four years selling domain names, I have had only two or three individuals asked me for traffic.
