Hi Pro's

DNS has send me an mail with the question if i sell a name which i rather not to publish. The mail etc seemed officialy from them with a legit person etc

Anyone every sold to them?
Do you i have a gem if they show direct interest? I would like to publish the name but as you understand that won't be smart now

Do you have your domain name listed with them or they contacted you without listing with them?

It could be that someone asked them to buy the domain name from you and so, they are asking whether you would sell it.

But note that brokers are PAID to buy a domain name and that is a good strong sign that you have a serious buyer in hand and therefore, do not let down your guard...

Tell them you do not consider selling it but if the price is right, you might consider. This way, you do not appear desperate for the money and also force them to make an offer. When they make an offer, counter 5-7 times their offer and wait for their response.

I wish you the best

Thanks, i never did business with them or sell through them. It was a mail from their BDM so it could be a order to broker the domain or they might have interest themself? Keep you posted as soon as i have more answers hopefully tomorrow

Its a formely Domainnamesales person and now Uniregistry. They ask if i'm willing to sell my names although 1 is specific mentioned in the subject. I hope it's not a cold email just to use their sales service which would suprise me for such a big company under Frank Schilling

It is more than likely a pitch to get you to transfer your domains into Uniregistry.

I have received several similar emails from them.

Hope I'm wrong, and you sell your domain.

Oh, in that case, he can post he email here and remove the domain name out of it so that we can know what it is really

thats pretty obvious fishing to me
wish they didn't do it
just makes them look bad.

but.. maybe that;s how some companies get "big" as you put it.

nasty stuff.

looks to me like title is randomly quoting one of your names.. and then they don't even bother to refer to it in message body.. further more don't even bother to ask if your domain (singular) is for sale. and talk about "names" in plural.

lame. sucky. fishy.

Since it uses the generic "names" and doesn't mention any specific dn's in the body of the email, I'll have to agree that it sound like a fishing expedition to get you to use their sales platform and NOT a broker looking to purchase your domain(s).

Exactly i think the same that why i asked this question. They used a name in the subject but the message seem short and not like Dear or Hi etc etc. Not a very clean business email in my opinion but more arrogance

I use already enough platform and don't need theirs. Especially not in this way. I've seen in the email history with dms that i asked them something 2 years ago and they felt too good to answer

When I get something like this I respond with an email like:

"Everything I own and/or control (with the exception of my dog) is for sale...my car, my house, my stamp collection, the front tire from my childhood bicycle as well as my domain names. I am a very busy person so if you are making an offer please be specific as to what name and how much...if it is reasonable, I will respond. If you do not hear back from me it means your offer was too low."

Just inquire with them and see what they have to offer.

They're probably reaching out asking if you want to sell your names to see if you want to try out their marketplace platform (which is pretty good btw)

It's a sales pitch, get them every few months.

Trying to establish business relationship to get your domains there for renewal, and parking.
