Domainers from Pakistan

Hello and Assalamo Alaikum,

Many of you know me that I am basically from Karachi but since 2015 I shifted to Islamabad, Pakistan.

I have created this thread so that people from all over the Pakistan can update here any information regarding any planning to organize any event, conference or meetup anywhere in Pakistan.

Currently I am residing in Islamabad so I invite anyone from any place to schedule meetup or organize an event and bring more awareness to our people.

It is indeed a great idea. Hopefully, we would be able to bring more light towards domain industry flourishing in Pakistan.

I'm from Lahore but have settled in Islamabad few years ago.

Glad you like the idea. Nice to see you are currently residing in Islamabad where I shifted last year only. Let's see if we are able to get some more like-minded people joining altogether and we shall plan to bring awareness among others.

The problem is that domainers from Pakistan are scattered and there is no common place (website, forum, fb page etc) to join and share ideas. We need atleast 1 Pakistani domainers forum and then there is a chance of organizing such an event....

I have seen Pakistani domainers buying and selling .pk and .com.pk domains and I know a couple of guys who sold .pk and .com.pk domains in mid XXXX to low XX,XXX range.. So our people are involved in domaining and the number is growing.

Hope other guys from Pakistan report here on this thread and lets see what we can do....

That's right. I tried joining one IT forum created especially for Pakistanis but that was complete nonsense where they don't allow to post anything freely what is allowed here at NP. Also the surprising part was that not a single person was aware about *domaining*. They also wanted me to post in Urdu language in many specific sections where writing in English was not allowed. Considering it's an IT forum and very much backward so I just left.

If Pakistanis are interested and looking at this particular thread, we can organize meetups on regular basis which will help our community learn and grow.

Yeah i have some experience of those forums and there is a lot of un necessary censorship.

This will be great, and is really a good initiative. It will be very good step to create such meetups. Currently am not in Pakistan, but I will definitely be part of some meetups whenever I will be around.
It will also be great to see you and get some deep knowledge about dominating. Since you are doing really good in domaining I guess.
