I have a domain name registered with a RapidSSL certificate and I have this domain permanently redirected to an other domain (that has an SSL certificate, too). I have the redirect set via an .htaccess redirect (it's a 301 redirect).
I wonder if I need to have the SSL certificate activated on this first domain? (that is redirected)
I'm asking this, because this SSL certificate expires soon and I don't know if I need to renew it or not.
The first domain has some backlinks built that go to its HTTPS version. These backlinks assure me a good ranking position on Google.
