Entirely unprofessional. I think the great hopes we had for another venue to sell domains has been burnt to ashes.

I'm not sure I'd go so far as to say it that way. They may smell a little of smoke, but I don't think their burnt....yet.

It seems to me a company that has never done this before maybe just bit off a little more than they could chew with the staff they have. They have never auctioned before live or online, and did both simultaneously while running a live show. They have never to my knowledge operated as an escrow company before, and maybe should have outsourced that this time. They appear to have written all the software to manage things as they went along or at least at the last minute. They did manage to hype the first auction enough to get sales into the millions which I applaud, even if it maybe didn't live up to the hype 100%. I'm pretty sure they'll get things right in the end, but it does seem like they are inventing things as they go along instead of using a well planned and tested post auction procedure.

I think in effect we are beta testers at the moment, but I have a fair amount of confidence they'll work out the kinks in the future.

I'm one of the ones that bought and sold yet was charged for my purchases. I noticed this immediately and after a few days, it was fixed. Unfortunately because I am in Canada, the mix up cost me over $100 because American express credits back a lower conversion rate than what they charge :( I haven't gone to them on this because I'm more interested in having the actual transactions dealt with. The domain I sold was @ namecheap. Received the email they sent to enom registrants saying to update the auth code since it would be a push. Replied to that 2x saying you can't push from namecheap to enom. Last time was yesterday and got the auth request from Enom today. The name I purchased has been in their escrow account over a week now but I just received the email yesterday to give my username @ enom for the push.

I think one of the problems with this whole thing is that as difficult as it is for 'domainers' imagine for people not used to dealing with domains to begin with? Most of my sales have been on the corporate side - at least the sizable ones. I know how impatient they can get even dealing with escrow.com etc. I can't imagine people outside of the domain industry having the patience for this system.

What I really liked was the webcast of the auction and the interface for bidding. But the pre-auction and post-auction structure has been sorely disappointing.

Paypal can't handle anything over 10k, other wise that's the method I would have chosen. Sounds like wire wasn't the fastest method. Congrats on being the first to get paid!

I also did send them 2 support tickets that went unsupported. Guess I was just lucky

Has anybody got a recent reply to any emails sent to DT? Atleast they could update us a little. It would take 2 minutes to come here and post a little update.

Payments will be sent......
Domains that have not been transfered yet need to ......
etc

So you haven't received payment yet for the domain I bought?

They received my money well over 3 weeks ago back on August 20th...

And furthermore, it appears both domains I bought were transferred ages ago into eNom - and are ready to be pushed to me ...

I can't understand why nothing is happening - getting concerned.

For some reason 2 of the domains i sold just will NOT transfer into enom - i have no idea what the problem is - i've written- asked - blogged - can't we just push to godaddy - or direct to the buyer - I'm ready - willing - just not ABLE for unknown reasons. Godaddy, where the domains are, say they haven't recieved a transfer request ... DT says they had one rejected - so i don't know what the heck is going on with my deal.
so flippin frustrating!

No payment yet. I transfered Voys.com and VacantHouse.com as soon as I got the email. Both are at enom just sitting in DT's account. I tried to transfer CompanyManger.com but it was rejected, but now is ready and I am waiting upon DT to reiniate the transfer with no reply to 3 emails that I have sent them.

My names have been at nameintelligence for weeks. One was an immediate push and the other a pretty quick transfer.

Just wondering what the holdup is.

Same here. I tried to call today, and it's some dumb recording and I was never able to talk to a live person.

Could this be the largest domain/money heist in history? I see no reason for no contact for weeks? Come on Jay, don't leave us hanging.

Even if that were the case, and this was a heist... I believe the Sex.com heist would still take the cake...

Try this number (pm me if you want the number). It's Jay's personal cell. Supposedly half have already been paid. Has anyone been paid on this forum?

Yeah, maybe I shouldn't post it. I just think if we are in business with Jay we should be able to effectively communicate. I mean no harm to Jay, however.

Got an update from Jay

Hi all,

I sent an email to Jay today and got a status back on the purchase of my domain, websupport.com. I'm told the check is being sent today.

I understand your frustrations if you're not getting any kind of update. Hopefully my case and others shows that you can trust they are working towards getting you paid.

POST EDIT:

Stephen Douglas, (Dotplanners) the executive producer of the Domain Roundtable Conference, has informed me at DNF that if anyone needs personal service in resolving their Domain Roundtable Live Domain Auction sales, please PM him at "DOTPLANNERS". He will personally follow up on your issues, send you the necessary email addresses, and if need be, direct phone numbers to get your transaction completed ASAP."

Quite frankly, this whole thing has been a mess. I can't imagine ever wanting to submit a domain for sale again to them or to purchase via one of their auctions. There's no reason why it should take as long as it is to get simple transactions taken care of. In their attempts to automate things, all that has happened has been one mess after another. The domain I purchased has been sitting in their escrow account for heading to 3 weeks, the domain I sold is also in there. It literally takes 30 seconds to push a domain from Of the 10 or so people I know who personally who have bought/sold domains, no one has gotten paid and no one has received domains purchased. We're not talking thousands of domains. I've personally handled more sales transactions during the same amount of time it's taking them to process everything.

i am sure, as frustrating as it is, everything will work its way out- i have yet to see one of these, monikers, etc... run without some sort of glitches-

You missed that two of my three domains sold:

Bakeryfoods.com $1000
MedicalClaimBilling.com $1000

Not a windfall of cash (not sure I could buy a good used Toyota for the total LOL). However, if I could average that price on the 3500 other domains I own, I might be able to get a nice cottage in Aspen.

Congrats to everyone who sold domains, we'll hope for bids for those who didn't sell this time to get your domains sold next time, and thanks to everyone for participating. If you have any questions or concerns about the Domain Roundtable auction, you can PM me and I will personally handle your request.
