Are you a domain speculator or investor? How do you see the difference?
I see an Investor as some that buys domains based fundamental, like current and future earnings. These tend to be domains of meaningful words, where the earnings can be estimated.
A Speculator buys domains based on trends or potential earnings that may or may not occur. An example may be NNN.com domains.
Of course the difference is never black & white, but I think you can place most domains in one bucket or another. I think it's important to realise that if you're a Speculator, the risks are much higher, and the time frames much shorter.
How do you define Speculating vs Investing? Which are you?
