Domain sales heating up?

First off, disclaimer. This is purely hunch and connecting dots that maybe shouldn't be connected, but during the last couple of months I've had more inquiries on mid-low price range domains and more sales then ever. I'm talking in the $250-$1500 range, prices I'm happy with as most of my domains are regfee or low auction bid domains.

I also scan drop lists very carefully and definitely noticing a much lower number of domains that I would be interested in dropping over the past couple of months. Perhaps some of the big drop hunters are out of the woodwork looking in other places for reasonably priced "decent" domains?

Anyone else seeing sales pick up significantly, or is this just new year's luck?

I think you've been a little lucky perhaps, I have found the opposite, was getting offers every day at the end of 2006, now I can't give 'em away....

Maybe it could be because some of the big guys are out to spend more money before the end of the tax year ??

I'm still mostly getting the usual $100 offers :td:

In the last two weeks, my inquiries/offers have doubled. This may be because of exposure of some sort though, because people are showing up at my site with specific domains in mind...not from searches.

I've noticed a pickup in both enquiries, offers and sales over last week or two. Enough that I've done price increases on some of my domains.

Another indicator. Its even getting harder to buy on EBay lately. I've bought some very decent domains for less than registration fee on Ebay. Lately that's gotten to be a lot harder to do. I'm almost tempted to try selling there again.

same here....I have seen a decline in sales since oct 2006....The market is flooded it seems....everyone is selling...no buyers....perhaps to many chiefs and not enough indians....I don't see any immediate changes either.

I was thinking the same thing----I sold one on sedo last month and another one of mine is in auction rite now on sedo.
Hopefully it will continue :)

I havnt noticed any chages, pretty steady inquiries - however my total portfolio is only a couple hundred. I will continue to monitor and have been debating on how best to monitize domain names and sell them at the same time...
