Are there any reputable domain registrars located outside of the USA that you all can recommend?

I know of EuroDNS. Any more?

Bookmyname.com is based in France and they may seem small but their French parent company is huge. I have used Bookmyname in the past with no problems. You also have Internet.bs based in the Bahamas (.bs).

ascio.com is a European based registrar, but quite expensive and mostly targeted at companies.

joker.com is a German registrar. It is quite a while since I last used them so can't say if they are good or not.

UKReg.com, but only for .*.uk domains- .coms are way overpriced from UK registrars.

While Namebay.com is a little more expensive than your average registrar, prices still remain acceptable if a portfolio is not too large, has been in operation for many years, is located in the Principalty of Monaco; support answers (even by phone: when I had to call them once, I had instantly a real person on the line!). I keep there a few domains that I consider particularly valuable and want to be at a safe place. Interface available in several languages, including English.

Regarding options in Canada, you might consider Rebel.com. My only caveat is that they don't send a courtesy warning message before a domain name is transferred, stating that anyway one needs to have authorized a transfer. True, but for a registrar targeting especially domainers, at least the option to have a courtesy message sent before a transfer would seem to be a plus - one is never too cautious these days. I have suggested them to add the option at least.

What's their username?

I have two accounts over there, neither have any domains in there anymore. Is there pricing for domainers? $29.95 to reg a domain is a little hefty.

^ these guys are the stone cold nuts ^

I have a grand total of two names with them (a couple pure geo .orgs) that I bought from a large reseller who I purchase from on a semi-regular basis. I had to request support for an odd issue- they responded literally in 20 minutes. I've reg'd a couple hundred drops with Moniker in the past few months to test them out... Had a few support hiccups and very unimpressed with one instance, but generally pleased with them.

I'm thinking about giving these guys a whirl for round 2, based on what I've experienced thus far. Very impressed with Fabulous.

Thanks for the other recommendations.

Rebel just sent me their pricing - pretty damn good for domainers. They had a few questions about my portfolio, and were eager to have me aboard, so I'm all over it!

If you want to check out Rebel's Domainer Program, here's the info: Rebel.com - Domainer Program

Thanks for all the help, folks!
