I'd like to know why do some registrar don't post their prices or they have a very hard to find price info page. e.g. moniker, fabulous, i dont really know the cost of their domains, & name.com's pricing is at the bottom..

I think most domain owners wants to know their cost first..

I agree, I like registrars that very clearly state their prices in spots that are easy to find. Most registrars have a link in the footer to their prices, and I think it's easy to find.

Moniker, however, has difficult to find prices unless you do a domain search. Inside their control panel the pricing is a little easier to find.

And I'm going to have to disagree with you about Fabulous: See the big box that says Discount Pricing? Click the "Learn More" button and it's very clearly spelled out for you, including all of their tiers and retail pricing.

Probably because they don't want people to price shop, and they'd likely lose out to those who offer it cheaper. Instead, they mostly want folks to see how much "value" they can offer.

Those registrars not necessarily showing their prices up front is a likely sign that "tactic" is giving them their desired results, and people are nonetheless signing up. Why change it after all?

Regarding Moniker you really don't want their listed prices anyway.

If you contact a Moniker Account Rep you can see if you can get special domainer pricing.

Let them know you are a member of NamePros.

Yes, price page should be accessed easily like placing its link in the footer, so visitor can find it very easily.

I know this thread is a little dated, but do moniker reps still look after namepros members as far as domain transfers are concerned? I'm looking at transferring some names soon..
