Domain push/transfer time restrictions

Hi guys,

I'm wondering what the time restrictions are for pushing a domain between accounts to transferring between registrars. I know there's some sort of restriction, 60 days?, but I'm not sure if it applies both to account changes on the same registrar or transfers.

I'm basically wondering how soon I sell a recently acquired domain name, and if there are any restrictions from selling/transferring if you push the name to a different account on the same registrar. Thank you.

It would help is you stated the registrar, to save us from guessing or having to quote every registrars policies.

At GoDaddy you can push a domain to another account immediately after you have registered it. But you have to wait 60 days if you want to transfer it out. This is basically the same for most registrars. But some registrars might have a 7 day hold before you can push a domain. GoDaddy restarts the 60 day hold every time you change the registrant name. Most other registrars don't do that.

I actually went to push one today that was freshly registered at godaddy to another account, and it wouldn't let me. "5 days after initial registration". Pain.

I'll have to upload an avatar lol for a link, but look at godaddy's "Moving a name out of your account"

GoDaddy recently implicated yet another bs rule... Have to wait 5 days after registering a name to change accounts...
