Name.com push time for new domain

This may sound a bit silly but how long does it take to be able to push new domain from one name.com account to other. I know that it's not possible to transfer domain between registrars 60 days however I thought that domain push within same registrar accounts can be made anytime.

At Name.com, I've only had domains that were pushed to my account from another. One of them I transferred out within days after the push and whois change. I have never reg'd a name there.

Perhaps new registrations and transfers-in will have the 60 day lock for transfers-out.

It's strange that you can't push a new domain to another name.com account.

At Godaddy there is/was a "trick"... i.e., unlock and then push. Last I used it was in 2011, so not sure if it still works.

Just crossed my mind. Maybe that's keyword. 5 days is usually limit, or atleast it was, with some registrars to cancel domain within 5 days of registration (Grace Period Deletion Request). So my guess is that it's possible to push domain to other account after those 5 days from registration.

It does seem like you have to wait for that 5 day period to end to push the domain.

Yes, 5 days is also the period for a grace delete.

5 days or an account manager will push it for you earlier if... They've done this for me on a couple of occasions.

AFAIK, there is no time limit. You can push the domain, immediately.

Got response from name.com

Thank you for contacting Name.com. It takes approximately 6 days after purchase in order to do an internal transfer. Since it was purchased on November 6th, you will need to wait till November 12 to do an internal transfer. I apologize for this but we require all of our customers to wait this period of time. It is not our policy but an ICANN policy. Please let me know if there is anything else I can do to assist you.

@ testnick: These types of responses always irritate me when I know/experience differently.
Bottom line is 5 days wait unless an account manager pushes it for you which they can.
