Domain pros and veterans, advice needed

I've only been regging names since Jan., and I have 5 names that combined have a total Esti valuation of over $18,000. Now I know not to take these valuations too seriously, but if i were to put all 5 names in a bulk sale, would an asking price of $6,000 (1/3rd) be too much? What about a possible trade of say my 5 names for 1 3L.com, or perhaps 2 or 3 nice CVCV.coms?

Please forgive me if I seem to have lost my marbles, it's just something that popped into my head today and got me thinking. I won't list the names here, but if any pro or veteran would like to have a look to do their own evaluation I'd be happy to pm the names to you. They're all 2 word generic .coms.

Any advice given is much appreciated.

woot......LLL.com for 6000 USD?:D and that's including 2/3 LLLL.coms (not to mention cvcv.coms)? IMO, it is kinda too cheap tho not sure 18,000 is too much or not, but 6000 is cheap.

Well, I wasn't exactly expecting ABC.com *lol*, but WAH.com just sold for $6400 and ZTY.com just sold for $6100, so I didn't think I was THAT out of my mind...And I was thinking either one 3L OR 2 or 3 CVCV's for a swap, not ALL for a swap...CVCV's can still be had for $1500-$2000 a piece.

As I said, it was just something that popped into my mind and I figured I'd get some expert advice, thats all

The truth is that the likelyhood of your hand regged domains being worth a substantial amount of money is unlikely. Estibot is tool to help determine value from fixed metrics. Its a great tool, but its valuations can be used to determine true market value. It makes a guess at what the possible sales prices "could" be.

Although I have no idea what your domains are, my bet is that you would be hard pressed to find buyers for even $100 for all of the domains together. You may not even be able to sell them at registration costs.

I might recommend making a second thread on the appraisals section, with the domains in question. Let a few experts have some time at them, but the truth is, I think you might be dreaming a bit on this one.

Thanks everyone for all your honest replies, I'll hold onto them and see what happens down the road. I did get into domaining knowing I may very well have to hold onto names for quite some time before seeing a profit from them, but seeing everyone around here making sales just gave me the "itch" I guess.
