Domain Parking

Hi everyone,

I've got some domains parked on sedo, but I'm not really too impressed with the amount of traffic they're recieving, I was wondering if I could add the url to Google for the googlebots to find (in effect be listed on google), is this legal? If not, is there a way to boost traffic?

Nwly establish parked odmains dont really help you alot unless they get alot of type ins. Your best bet would be to probably set up a mini site on that domain to monetize it better.

Yes, you are allowed to submit domain names at search engines.
But, do remember thats like the only thing that you are allowed to do!

That was the answer I was looking for to my question.

If they're really fresh new names (not registered before by anyone) submitting them will put the names to Google's sandbox. They will remain there "locked" for few months

A better method is to acquire links to your sites but this is forbidden from PPC engines
The best way is to make a mini site, promote it and if you don't get any money from this turn it to a parked page

However with today's PPC rates i doubt you can get better value per click from a parked site compared with a minisite

search engine can detect that it is a parked page or not. If it is a parked page, it does not rate it high anyway.

Thanks for your help guys, all very useful information. (rep added). I'm a bit of a newbie in terms of developing minisites so I'll just see if adding the urls makes any difference to the traffic.
