Sorry you feel that way & too bad we couldn't come to an agreement. Wasn't lying at all. Truly what happened & I DID say I DIDN'T want it to go that direction.

This domain will benefit you zero, nada, zip... so guess you're holding on to it just to be nasty. I don't need it, I've moved on, but like I said I'd give you $50. $50 is better than nothing. If you change your mind, let me know. I most likely won't feel it's worth even that after a couple months & don't worry, I don't have any reason to email you again.

GoDaddy- Max domain purchase & their Blacklist

Dear John Martin or Barney Pedrino,

I have contacted GoDaddy in regards to the auction process & in regards to------.com

Apparently I have been told by a higher admin that they are completely against anyone who misuses the auction process by charging outrageous prices for a domain bought & sold. Their entire process is based on a reasonable price.

Yes I understand you bought this domain fair & square because it was expired, however I am not in any position to purchase this back from you even remotely close to this 5K price. Yes if I had a large producing business, yes if I was making in the neighborhood of 100K or more income a year, this would be no problem. I am someone who relocated to be close to my aging parents & due to the stringent testing & a number of hardships (including my health-have MS), on disability, I have not worked in two years. I finally passed the test (2 yrs later) & am completely starting all over.

I have already bought -------.net & plan on keeping this one. I am willing to purchase --------.com from you for the absolute maximum of $50, because it is not worth more than the $12 you bought it for & because it is money I will have to borrow because I don't have it (most humbly & truthfully). Also I don't need it, it would just be a nice to have back. Someone was helping me & paying for it & accidently let it expire.

Also, when I discussed this to an exec at GoDaddy, they stressed that this type of inflated charge is completely against their values. They are in the process of blacklisting you from GoDaddy & stated if they are unable to do this, they will indeed, at least, prevent you all from any further selling on their auctions. I do not want this to happen because I am not a vengeful or angry person, just someone who needs to make a living again & understands that you are also needing to continue yours.

Please let me know if this is agreeable to you & I will put in the bid (without any anticipation of a counter, just acceptance) & will ask GoDaddy to stop their blacklist process.

Thank you for your consideration,

Sincerely,

Mich

This is my last email to her , I hate to be so cruel at the end but when someone threatens you W-G-A-F

Yeah I bought and hold it just to be nasty ,I own 5500 domain names and names like this get me between $3500 and $5000 one name.com Your godaddy story is total bullshit, and I invite you to blacklist me

in fact I raised the price on afternic and godaddy to 48000 that should give godaddy 10 times more reason to blacklist me right. I dont know what you did in the past to get what you wanted ,but extortion by threatening blacklisting is not gonna work here. Also ,apparently I Value this domain more than you do,because I paid more than you are offering to me. By the way I said dont email me again and you did ,so f--k off

LOL @ "when I discussed this to an exec at GoDaddy, they stressed that this type of inflated charge is completely against their values. They are in the process of blacklisting you "
He probably thinks that's an elaborate plan he made up to buy the domain cheap, little does he know that any domainer would easily see through this BS. Godaddy's entire business is based on selling domains at high prices. That's like saying that online advertising goes completely against Google's values :D

Besides, why would a Godaddy exec bother talking to a person who has to borrow $50 to buy a domain name.

But frankly this email obviously won't lead to a sale, so really no point in replying further just to antagonize the person. Who knows maybe he will save up $2000 and buy it from you a year later.

I don't think you should have answered like that, even though it's obvious she was lying.
In fact you should have ignored her totally, it was obvious the initial opening would not lead to a sale anyway.

Though sometimes understandable, it's never a good idea to antagonise someone. You never know how stable they are or what they might be capable of. This person sounds quite bold- beware.

On the other hand it could also be from another domainer. 3 years is a long time to suddenly realise you don't have a domain anymore. Someone maybe used a paid service to check the whois history and then filled in a back story.

No she once owned the domain ,i missed the first email 2 months b4 ,when I saw the last one urging someone to get back to her ,I immediately called her and she basically shut me down and hung up on me two weeks later she reg ed the .net and I thought that would be the end of it I think the domain is probably worth 1000-2000 dollars easy ,but if she was nice and being she did own it ,I would have probably sold it for $500 , I paid $69 for it

Not wanting to talk on the phone tells me it might be someone scared of being recognised. Especially when willingness has then been shown to 'negotiate' again through email. Something about the way they talk about godaddy execs and blacklisting makes me think they know a thing or two about domaining. Maybe not but nothing would surprise me in this game....
