(Apologies in case this topic has already been covered, I searched back and didn't see it.)
I read an article a while back on DNJournal about domain leasing and the creation of leasethis.com. Im sure everybody has read it:
http://dnjournal.com/articles/companies/leasethis-january2007.htm
I went to the site, and it's definately still in Beta so who knows how long it will take to work well, and whether or not it will even catch on. But, if you look at the lease threads on there, some people are offering to lease their domains from $20-$200 a month, which would be a really nice and in many cases reasonable. Do you guys see this idea taking off and affecting the .tv world?? I'm curious to know, is anyone holding on to their names for a longer period with this in mind?
Maybe by the time .tv takes off, domain leasing would be in working order. I think it would be good for the industry because you'd have less parked pages and business would be relevant to their respective names. I think the owners could definately make more money in the long run....
