I have a domain I picked up, which is:
NEWSBRIEF.TV
Seeing as how NEWS.TV is leasing for $1,000,000/ yearly wouldn't this be the next best thing?
How much is it worth ATM and what could it lease for say 3-5 yrs. down the road.

Too many people look at the price of News.tv and think that regging variations for regular pricing is an attractive alternative. IMO I don't, unless developed with some unique idea people go to CNN.com for news or Fox.com or BBC.co.uk or a host of other internationally recognized sites. I don't think this a bad domain but it will need development IMO Comparing the name to news.tv is really not sound. News.tv at $1,000,000 is a joke and I believe Verisign knows that, the domain probably gets some type in traffic of which they are now getting ppc from. Look at the HRTS auction those are 4 domains they wanted a lot for and I think people will get deals there and then $50 renewals the real value for the buyer. IMO

Hard to compete against GIANT established news organisations, and unless there is ALLOT of financial backing it will be hard to develop a site that will compete. The name itself is a pretty good fit with the extension, but how can you monetize while finding an end user?

News.tv for $1m is as much a publicity stunt as it is them expecting to actually sell/lease it for that.

As for newsbrief.tv ... it's fairly catchy, and I think in some ways it works better as the singular. I wouldn't say much above reg fee though.

Well that's the ? I hope you guys could help me answer, I've only been domaining about 3 mos. and I guess I have a lot of learning to do, but the potential rewards outweight the trials and tribulations.
Thanx for everyone's input
