The buyer is an idiot this is a 20k-50k domain ,there are better alternatives for less ,a million dollars can reap 50k min in interest a year,im sure rick would have leased this out for 3k a month

Wait, what am I missing? Did the January 2021 sale of BestOdds.com not go through?

There were many reports of that sale, on Namepros and elsewhere. Domain was sold for $1.8 million up front, plus another $1.8 million in payments over a few years. Here is one of the Namepros threads about that sale.

I remembered that sale, so was a little befuddled to see this new report of the same domain name.

I have searched and have not found any articles saying that the 2021 sale did not go through; can anyone enlighten me?

Thanks

Maybe domains are worth more than people think?

Similar to Bitcoin.

If it didn't get reported on @Ron Jackson (like they did for Rick's GoBet.com sale here https://dnjournal.com/archive/domainsales/2021/20210120.htm), it likely didn't happen.

HurricaneDamages supposed to have sold for over a million in the last month:-

https://domaingang.com/domain-news/rick-schwartzs-hurricanedamages-com-on-a-million-dollar-ltb-plan/

But still redirecting to him and was the same story as his โ€˜Propertiesโ€™ and 'Property' domains, which the latter supposedly sold for $36 million.

I believe this sale is legit, as the domain as actually moved and been reported to Ron (proved) but am sceptical of a lot Rick comes out with.

Related tweets (may not be comprehensive):

My guess is that the 2021 buyer renegotiated or defaulted and then another buyer came along. The originally-announced $3.6 million may have included the value of some stock at the time, or another creative aspect of the deal.

Rick is one of the best dealmakers in the business.

After checking archive.org, bestodds.com was developed in 2021 November, so a buyer there was for sure.
