One of my high traffic domains (over 1000 UVs a day) has been blocked by Google for no particular reason. I have never indulged in any sort of malpractices related to this domain and i am quite perplexed as to why Google has blocked it.

Now I am in urgent need of a parking provider that does not use Google as their primary ad feed provider. Can someone please help me out with this?

Really....I always thought they use Google too. Thanks for the help.

Btw....does anyone know of ways of selling the traffic coming to an undeveloped domain?

Hi prateekj

No explanation whatsoever. This is what they sent:

Hello,

This is an automated mail to inform you that our advertising partner, Google, will no longer return advertising to the following domain(s):

***.net

The reasons for this are usually:
- Adsense abuse on the domain by a previous owner
- A complaint by a trademark owner
- Google find the name offensive (adult, drugs etc) and no longer wish to monetize the domain

As Google are our advertising partner, we can unfortunately no longer return advertising to the domain in question.

We apologize for any inconvenience caused.

If you have any further questions, please contact us at [email protected].

This sux. Imagine if the previous owner screw up and your domain gets banned for it. I wonder if there's a timeframe before Google lifts the ban.

If it is a dot net thats a lot of traffic is it a tm name, if not i wonder if its a dotcom holder that buys a lot of adds with google and they received a complaint by them could you post the name or a variation of it

I wonder as - Powerup said about how long the ban lasts, even if you change to yahoo feed, will there be a problem with Page rank in the future ??

Hopefully one of the pro's here tell us later ?

The thing s that this domain used to be a very active forum till a few months back. I bought it off a person who had picked up this domain when it got dropped. Now I hae no idea how this domain is getting this sort of traffic, but I am pretty sure this is neither a TM violation nor did the previous owner buy google ads for it (considering the price at which he sold it to me). Anyway, I'll try parking this with an aternate service that allows yahoo or Ask feeds. If that doesn't work, then I guess ill develop it into a forum similar to the one which it used to be.

I had the same problem. An expired name was blocked by a parking provider.

Moved it to a non-Google feed. I had no other choice. Maybe in the future I'll e-mail Google and find out what happened with it.

Same here, had a domain that i did quite a bit of research on before i bought it expired, tried to park it with the same parking company yours is blocked at and got the same rejection. Moved it to another parking provider.

The domain that I had blocked is by no means a TM domains and is very non-controversial so not sure what is up on that one either.

Sorry to hear it happen to someone else.

Did you look it up in www.archive.org to see what it may have been at different times in the past?

The other possibility of which I have heard is that it may have had nothing wrong with it whatsoever, but belonged to or was associated in some way with someone who had OTHER problematic domains; the "bad neighborhood" effect.

Let us know what the name is, I'm sure some folks, once they see it, they'll be able to do research on it and find out what the problem is.
