.tv Do you think the “Royal Air Force” would benefit from the domain name Raf.tv

The RAF have the domain name raf.mod.uk for their web site and I wanted to ask you if you thought the “Royal Air Force” would benefit from the domain name “Raf.tv” for their recruitment drive adverts on the TV and national papers?

I believe they would benefit from this name and have reserved it for them if they choose to use it, however, I would really like to hear your views on this one.

I understand that the RAF obviously rank top position for their web site, but surely it would pay them to have a much easier and memorable name for their TV and newspaper ads.

I noticed that Army and Navy dot tv are owned by American domainers and consequently wanted to make sure this one stays British :blink:

I'm not selling it to the Royal Air Force.

I am donating it to them. ( I need something to put on my cv, as blackjack cardcounter no longer works anymore, )

Any more expert views as to whether this would be a good marketing ploy for the Air Force.

I see one australian company using their commercials on a .tv site, as if to state the extension is for such purposes , cant see why the raf could not do the same

No.

They will lose the "Royal" designation before they ever need to have this domain. The best advert for the RAF is a shitty job market and wars. Not sure I fancy either of those.
