.tv The Great Slovenian Domain name @£$%-UP

For those who have not seen Slovenia.TV I would recommend having a good look- it's pretty good - and there are many other channels from the same company on the same site. It's pretty much an interesting version of the future of internet TV.

However, even great teams occasionally mess up and yesterday must have been their worst day ever.

The domain name for the site simply lapsed and reverted to CarsonDaly.tv - a far far inferior offering. Slovenia.TV must have forgotten to renew their name!

Whatever happened - Slovenia.TV is now back on air.

I bet somebody somewhere got the biggest ass-kicking of their life.

If anyone knows the full details I would love to know the facts.

I'm not surprised that it comes from Slovenia, one of the most beautiful and, if I'm not mistaken, the wealthiest country in Eastern Europe. Its landscapes and standard of living are very similar to those of Austria.

We were already discussing in another thread the many great developed .tv sites that we could find in countries like the Czech Republic, Poland, the Ukraine, Romania and Russia. It's very nice to see that companies/people in Eastern Europe are developing some great .tv sites and are really understanding/enjoying the online video revolution.

Slovenia.TV is looking very nice indeed! They've definately got quite a collection of developed .tv names as well.
