Hello,

I would just like to know people who still believe in hand registering domain names.

I usually see on the internet that all the good domain names registered, there is nothing good to register.

Do you believe it or not?

If possible, give the example of domain name.

For my example: I regged eAnswerer.com, ModernCruise.com etc.

Yep :)
Only about once a month though. The last one I got makes $1.00 a day in parking on sedo.. at least. I always look for buzzwords and the like.. :)

Yes I handreg because I prefer words and combinations wich makes sense in .de + .com too.
Itยดs timeconsuming but interesting to see all the crap domain names wich doesnยดt make really sense and are bad combined.Iยดm quite sure nobody will buy such humbug.

Depends what you consider "Hand Reg".

Grabbing drops from the PendingDelete list as they drop yes...

Picking a domain out of the blue... not so much

These domains you picked up.. eAnswerer.com, ModernCruise.com . ModernCruise is the better of the two. eAnswerer.com is Not good....

Yes, I do sometimes - I've picked up 2 today:
~ a 'pure' hand reg: Nose-Piercing.com - I know it's a hyphen but has 60k monthly searches for the phrase
~ just 5 mins ago I picked up a name that had dropped from today's list but no one picked up: Forgivable.net

And what do you think these people are looking for? Likely, A Picture.. these are lookers, not buyers. Hyphened domains do not rank very well, nor likely to get direct navigation. This is an example of why not to hard reg most domains out of the blue really.

A search term like that screams "lookers" not buyers. They are looking to see how it looks, placement, which side to get it on etc. Could you sell some nose ring, I'm sure you could but unless you rank in the top 5 on the SE's that number doesn't mean Sh*t really.

DiscountTokyoHotels.com would be better. TokyoHotels.com would be the best. I think better domains are picked up during the drop really. I could bs you, but that isn't going to do you any good. ;)

I have seen some crappy domains sell for a lot of money, so that is always a factor also, but I wouldn't renew when it came time.

Same here, tech domains IMO are one of the few niches were hand-regging can turn into quick cash. Why, because technology is ALWAYS changing, advancing, developing, modifying, you get it..

IN FACT:

Hand Regged a domain last April for $8 and sold it in May for $3400 B-)

So that being said there is money left in hand regging but be practical.

You have some evidence/documentation for this opinion? My experience has been search engines don't care about hyphens.
