Godaddy is the only registrar I know that mass suspend all domains right?

My partner got a dispute with my current registrar.

I'll explain the detail latter after I split the eggs. The current registrar is great but one of their abuse department guy is totally unreasonable in my opinion.

Yes, because of some names shopping and aftermarket...

I wish not to split :/

What do you mean by "mass suspend?"

I try to keep most of my names at a single registrar for the sake of simplicity, but because I've bought various names from people or won them at auctions that had them registered different places, I have a small amount of names (less than 20) scattered in different places.

what do you mean? Names shopping and after market?

I like one registrar that I've used for 5 years. But now I don't feel my domain is save there anymore.

It has been several times some non sense accusations pop up ending with my who is protection gone. Recently one of my domain is suspended. And that's it.

I want to spread my eggs.

What I mean by mass suspend is the following.

Sometimes people complaint about my domain. Well I got 1700 domains. What do I expect? Something always go wrong. Some of them are not even on my direct control.

Well, most of the time I can convince the abuse department that I am innocent. Last time a person that work in the abuse department says that I am not and suspend one of my domain permanently. Basically she thinks that redirecting to searchnut.com (parked.com) is not okay because it's a link farm or something and it's also not okay to link to another site without permission. Plus removing the link to appease the complaint don't work.

I am speechless. The problem is a little bit more involved than what I just said. I'll explain latter after my domains are saver. This girl don't even know basic domaining and seems to be pretty stubborn. That's it. I am moving out of my current registrar, which is a very good registrar. I just need this resolved first.

It really frustrates me that some people can make frivolous complaint and registrars, without asking clarification to me first, just remove privacy or even suspend domains permanently. I mean I am making $500 per day. I can't let some regular noob or joe take that away easily just because they can convince another noob that works in abuse department. Lawyers are expensive for a reason. If we let our life be judged by losers we'll always lost.

I also sense malicious intent between the accusers and the girl handling my case. Well, maybe I can try to figure that out but I am not risking this further. I would propose transferring the problematic domain out to another registrar. I am not sure she'll allow it though.

I went that route of spreading my eggs into more than 1 basket. But now I just use 1 main registrar. I have accounts with most registrars. If I buy a domain from someone which isn't at my main registrar, I just put in a transfer request immediately. Keeps things simple using 1 registrar. OK. You say there is a risk. But there's a risk every time you step out your front door too. Most of my domains are just parked (@ Parked). I probably have about 20-30 (poorly) developed domains. I don't use my registrar for hosting. I don't use the Registrars Privacy either. I also have a reasonably good rapport with my Account Manager, but also know which way he would blow if I got into a fight with my Registrar. Overall I'm happy and don't have any fear of the worst case senario... losing all my domains. Eeek!

I'm all with GoDaddy, but I've thought of spreading out to Moniker because of their API support for automated registrations.

I used to like GoDaddy on price, but that gap is closing up enough these days that I don't feel price is the deciding factor anymore for me. What keeps me GoDaddy-only is that everyone has a GD account, and free pushes are pretty easy to walk people through.

Mass punishment of accounts is a non-issue as long as you're not engaged in anything shady and make a meaningful effort to respond and comply with any enforcement actions. Truth is, no TM domain is worth getting your account suspend over -- I almost never register a TM domain unless it clearly can be claimed as a fan site.

I use Godaddy #1 Dynadot and Name.com #2 tied.
I am registered @ many other registrars but try not to use them!

I like resell.biz and resellerclub.com for many of their bulk function.

Tucow and godaddy? I wouldn't register a lot with them.

ยท This is not new. I had a recent experience with Tucows taking a name that was possibly a TM name. Tucows never received a letter from the company or a UDRP. They think they are authorized to โ€œpoliceโ€ the internet. Once i realized it, I contacted Tucows and learned that they took control of the name for security (phishing) reasons. I had never modified the nameservers or done anything other than have the name parked. After speaking with Ross Rader, he told me they could take whatever names they deemed a potential risk and didnโ€™t need to notify the domain name owner. After stealing my name, they used it in the exact manner in which i was using it. I had a PPC page on it and once they took control, so did they. They made money on my domain name for about 45 days during the holiday season which was itโ€™s price earnings opportunity. Additionally, the name was aquired through their domain auctions. I contacted Icann and they choose not too respond or address the issue.

GoDaddy is probably the worst registar because they censor domains they donโ€™t even host.
These are the same guys who run commercials that run up against FCC standards, but if they donโ€™t like the ideas expressed on your website they will suspend or cancel your domain without notice.
GoDaddy has crossed a line for which it should be boycotted. Go elsewhere if you want professional services and youโ€™ll save money too.

I just use go daddy and others if I win domains on them.

I suppose that suspension or not suspension domain names in bulk depends on the domain names only and the reason.

I use godaddy, moniker and name.com
Some at tucows

at one point I had my names at I think 11-14 different registrars (including resellers).
Now I have absolutely all my names at Godaddy, surely not the best registrar, but the low price really motivates to use it...

Only use reseller when I'm the reseller, if I'm the customer of reseller I will not choose:notme:

Why not?

If one of your domains are problematic it'll be easier if you limit your risk only on that one account.

Also if you have a reseller account with several customers, then you can help those customers in case one of them lost password and stuff.

I suppose that suspension or not suspension domain names in bulk depends on the domain names only and the reason.

The reason can be totally unreasonable. We can be totally innocent and yet pronounced guilty. I just lost one domain because I supposedly link to another site and that count as "deceptive, unfair" tactic or something based on abuse departments' policy.

I try to keep everything split between Moniker and Fabulous but 90% of names I acquire are with GoDaddy so I always have a bunch there. I never renew names at GoDaddy though and always transfer them when it comes time for renewal.

Also have a few at random other registrars but also transfer those to Moniker/Fabulous when they come up for renewal.

no way i would keep all my domains with one single registrar. i have about half with one and the other half with a different one.

BTW because the reseller is not secure as the main registrar. I think so because some time the API of RSL error with the code and domain name's not secure

I have some reseller account but I'm not open the customer register. I'm just used to register or transfer my domain names myself
