I was wondering how many of us owns domain of our name?

Be it first name, middle name, last (surname) name or any combination?

How old is your domain you own ?

Was it difficult getting your name or you bought it from other owner / site?

Do you use it for just to have a name, or to have an email id or to have your own personal website?

Will like you all to share

BTW - I own my first name domain (dipendra.com) , that too .com and its been 5 years i own it after previous owner dropped it and i grabbed it after trakfing for 5 years!

Any story you will like to share?

I don't have mine but I have always thought about registering the .us version since .com and .net are taken ( the .com redirects to the .net so the same person must own them.) I don't know about the .org. I want it though. I've thought about going after wnlastname.com so then I could get [email protected]

Unfortunately I do not own the .com of my name. I approached the owner of the .com but he refused to sell. The name forwards to a financial company which is called my last name Financial. They already have the .com for my last nameFinancial so it urks me that I can't get the .com off of them. I have had the .net for 4+ years now.

I will probably never own my first name in .com & my last name is an actual country so I'm not getting that either. I'm screwed from every which direction.

I have my lastname.net. The .com, .org, and .name are taken. The .com seems like it's one of those sites that say they take surnames so they can be available when someone with that surname wants it but they just try to sell them for ridiculous prices. The .org is owned by someone with the same last name, apparently, who uses it as a site to log their travels. The .name won't load anything.

I'm getting married in about a month and my girlfriend wanted to have a site for us and the family we will eventually have. Kind of an online record of everything, I guess. So I've had it regged for a week or two.

I've got my .net and .com. Originally just had the .net because GoDaddy had snatched the .com for some reason, but I placed a backorder on the .com and ended up getting it.

I've recently grabbed the .tv and the tv.com. I will hang onto both of these for a long time.
