When you see a np members domain advertised here, are you likely to click an ad on their site or network?

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.

No, I would only click on an ad if I had actual interest in what was being advertised. To just click on an ad for the sole purpose of generating income for somebody else is an ethical issue.

I will click it if i feel that i want to visit the desired site. About 95% of the time when i do click one i find out that it is not what i want to visit and close it rather fast.

Only if I see something of interest, than I will click to see what it's all about.

I'd only click the ad if the URL wasn't available. I go direct to save advertisers a little money.

I'm computer literate, I don't click on ads :)

I don't think I've ever found much useful by clicking on ads... Other than back when I was a noob and typed ebay.com into Google to get to the site rather than typing it in the address bar

Cybertonic's ads on Namepros (Domaining.com, PremiumDomain.com) are the only ones I've clicked this year I believe.

I only click if I want to see what a particular parked page for sale looks like --- but, only to look at the parked page and I never click on the ads on the parked page.

I click on those many times too.

It seems to be a trend that is getting more prevalent as the years go by overall with ad clicking

seems to me that webmasters especially rarely click ads, but generally in the overall public I think legitimate clicking is getting rarer (scary as a huge part of the internet economy relies on people clicking and buying things)

I don't remember when I clicked ads last time. Maybe back in 2005.

Although I do not click on ads in general, unless I am interested in the domain, my click through ratio for affiliate sites is still pretty decent.

When you think of ads, I think you need to differentiate between, say, niche product/review type ads versus generic, 'shoot the bouncing target and win a chance for an ipod' ad. If an ad is targetted to the specific audience, it will get click throughs, regardless of whether it is a banner, or text ad.

One thing I did notice is that, for about a month, there, I was getting 100-150 uniques a day at StupidPeople.tv , and I could not figure out the sudden influx of hits until I realized I had linked to the site in my sig, here at Namepros. Not saying that 'stupid people' is relevant to Np, hehe, just saying maybe there are people looking for a humor site to pick up or some such, or maybe they understood that there would be some funny vids located there.

Yeah I click on people's sigs alot too, wasn't considering that an ad in my response above.

One of my sites had almost 1500 uniques over 4 months of being promoted in my sig and the current site promoted in my sig is getting about 20-25 uniques from Namepros daily.
